Gram Flour Mask with Green Tea – Do It Yourself

So, I’m just in my kitchen making my usual afternoon green tea, thinking about how much my skin has been destroyed this winter. Then,I take out the tea bags after the tea is made, and I just stand there staring at the soaked bag (weirdo!), and then a light goes on in my head. What if? Green is very good for body and skin and the only homemade mask I ever use is the gram flour mask. So, what if I add them together to make a mask. Guys, I thought this then and there and the second I thought of that idea, I got down to work.

Besan and green tea pack

Benefits:
Green Tea:  Green tea can help with wrinkles and the signs of aging.  This is because of their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities. Studies have demonstrated that green tea can reduce sun damage.

Gram Flour: Gram Flour is used to cleanse, tighten, lighten, and rejuvenate the skin; it can also help with redness and swelling, and fine lines, wrinkles and tan.

Turmeric: Turmeric helps reduce pigmentation, appearance of acne, help maintain elasticity in skin, and can also reduce facial hair growth.

Honey: Honey has the ability to absorb and retain moisture. Its natural antioxidant and anti-microbial properties help to protect the skin from the damage of the sun’s rays. Honey makes skin feel silky soft, and supple.

Milk: The lactic Acid in milk help exfoliate, making skin glowing, smooth, and clean.

Step Three: Empty the content of the tea bag into the bowl, and mix everything together.

Step Four: Then, add milk and mix. You can add milk as you prefer. I only add one table spoon because I like my paste to be thick, but if you like creamier mask, then you can add 2-3 table spoons of mask.

After you apply the mask, your face should look like a pakora ready to be deep FRIED!! Keep it on for 15-20 minutes. While you wait, drink the green tea that you made in the beginning. That way you are cleansing both your face and body!

Extra Tip:

You can substitute milk with rose water if you like.  The green tea in the mask gives you a cooling sensation, so cut two pieces of fresh cucumber, put it over your eyes for an extra oomph. Lie back and relax, it feels very good.  Apply it under your eyes for your dark circles.

Please do tell me your experience with this guys 🙂

    1. Yup, i use that same mask regularly too, i just love gram flour masks. ive tried so many others, but always come back to gram flour…. lol

  3. plz dont mind my asking but does this mixing of ingredients on one’s own will really help or the time tested face masks are better?

    1. hey, sorry i didn’t get you?? are you asking if this really helps or not??? well ive tried this mask every other day for 1 week before posting this, and personally i did see results…. i felt my face brightening up, and i swear my pores looked smaller, and skin felt tighter…. if thats what your asking…… 🙂

  4. I definitely want to try this. Sounds great!!However, I have oily skin… I would surely substitute milk with rose water. Do u think I should skip honey too?
