I recently stumbled upon Holika Holika brand when I was looking for face washes online. Being an avid user of their face sheet masks, I decided to give it a try. I picked up two cleansers from the range and today’s review is all about Holika Holika Daily Fresh Rice Cleansing Foam. Read on to know more.

The product contains rice extract, which makes skin smooth, soft and silky. Ideal for dry and aging skin. Rice extract moisturizes the skin, activates metabolic processes and smooths out wrinkles. The products, developed on the basis of rice extract, are designed to combat premature aging, to refresh and soften the skin. It restores, nourishes, and prevents wrinkles. Saturated with amino acids and minerals, the rice extract gives the skin the nutrients it needs and strengthens the protective barrier.
The common soapwort extract contains saponins, flavonglycosides. Has anti-inflammatory, antifungal and cleansing effect, improves the metabolism of the skin, helps to soften dry, prone to acne and irritated skin.

My Experience with Holika Holika Daily Fresh Rice Cleansing Foam:

The product comes in a white tube package with a crimson colored highlights. There is basic information on the back even in English which is good. The product comes sealed which is great. There is a tamper seal on before opening the tube and also a foil sheet on its mouth. You need to take this off before usage. The cap works as a flip cap and also as a screw cap. The cap closes with a click and this makes it easier to carry around. The package is pretty simple and is travel-friendly.

The product has a fluffy texture and is foamy. It is white in color and has a mild fragrance. It is nothing fancy but it doesn’t bother me too! The consistency is thick and this reminds me of shaving creams. I was expecting it to be a foamy product, but the application is pretty different. You need to squeeze out the necessary quantity and then mix it with water to generate foam and then use it onto your face. I usually do not have so much patience and I usually rub it on my fingers and work on the semi-foam onto my face and when I am trying to rinse off, I can feel it all bubbling up and then I give myself a massage. So, I do a cleanse and massage in one go!

The product is meant for brightening and is a good choice for people who suffer from pigmentation. Even though I do not have pigmentation, I decided to give it a try after all, we Indians are kind of obsessed with brightening products. The product foams up a lot. When I first used it, I ended up with a lot of product on my face and had to rinse off for so long. You need the product as big as a fly and that is more than enough. This makes me think that I am going to stick onto this for really long time! When cleansing off, I could feel squeaky clean feeling on my skin. I usually dis at such products because, they rip out the oil from the skin and make it dry. However, I was in for a surprise. After I patted my face with a towel, I waited for more than 15 minutes to see if my skin is going to be scaly and dry. But, my skin had an amazing brilliance and it was really bright.

There was a sense of freshness on my skin. It didn’t dry out my skin either but after around 15 minutes, I could feel that my skin needed moisture to cope up! But, I was pretty happy with the results. The products cleansed the pores and I could feel amazing results. The product also made my skin very soft and smooth. I didn’t have any breakouts. The product is also claimed to have anti age benefits but it is really early for me to comment on it. The product is cruelty free which is another plus. The brightness do not last really long and is only temporary post you face wash. Also, I noticed that it doesn’t control any oil production over the day. But, I absolutely love this product and I am sure that I will be stocking up all the variants from this range. So summing up
