Khadi Saffron Reetha Protein Herbal Shampoo Review
I really like Khadi Ayurveda products and have had quite a good experience with most of their skin care products. I am going to share some of the Khadi products in coming days with you that have worked wonders for my skin. But from my personal experience I can say that Khadi makes mediocre or worse shampoos.I have used almost all of Khadi shampoos and none of them have been highly satisfying.

Ingredients : Saffron, Reetha, Lodhra, Tulsi, Shikakai. No eggs used. Colour from Natural ingredients only.
Price : Rs 75
My experience with Khadi Saffron Reetha Protein Herbal Shampoo:
- First, I don’t think it is a herbal shampoo at all. It is a very strong shampoo and it has a very strong detergent base.
- It smells pretty good. It’s a little difficult to explain how it smells but it’s mild and pleasant. Infact, it leaves a nice smell to your hair.
- The shampoo is lemon yellow coloured and has semi liquid texture. It lathers pretty well.
- It cleanses your hair nicely, even when you have oiled your hair.
- I HATE this shampoo. It is so strong that it rips away every single bit of moisture form your hair and make your hair frizzy.
- It gave a major hair fall. most of the shampoo has gone into trying it out. Sometimes when you change shampoos , you do get some hair fall during initial one or two washes. This shampoo just gave me endless hair fall.
- It only made my hair look dull and dry rather than giving any shine. 🙁
- I didn’t see any hair growth with this shampoo, as per the claim.
- I don’t think they have listed full list of ingredients.
- It comes with a flip top cap so it’s quite convenient to use. Also, the size of the bottle is quite travel friendly.

Use it for pedicure!!..Most of such experiments that go wrong for me, work in doing something good to my feet!! Its causing hairfall because of the dryness. I donno why such shampoos come with lizol stuff in them, clean 99% of everything!! 😐 😐 😐 😐 😐

Eh!!Rati dont throw it into dustbin, as cali said you can use for perdicure, or else try this: i often use shampoos(esp the ones i dislike) for washing my dupattas…

I dunno of any surma as such now. 🙁 My naani used to make one at homebut now I just use Lotus or lakme kajals.

Sharon I think the white surma is not as dark as the regular surmas! & No it is not a kajal, its a powder surma!
I agree with Cali – if dont like it, it goes in the foot tub. I Cant bear to waste stuff na… and anyways ratidooo if it causes hairfall, and no one wants hairy feet, all the better to use on your feet/legs – waxing ke paise bachao 😉 😛

Thnx a lot Rati, for this article of yours we r getting different ideas to use the shampoos (which we wd nt use for the purpose it was mfg). u can use to clean make brushes too i think.

datty shampoos giving us more hairfall !! just wanted to share with you how i got my hair back to normal after the khadi disaster – (i have normal hair)
take egg white of one egg and 2 spoons khatta curd . apply on scalp amd hair , leave on for 40 minutes and wash with normal shampoo like sunsilk / dove . 15 days me ur hair will stop falling . i used to do it twice a week .
hope it helps .. And if you have really flat hair , use shahnaz hussain ka SHAGROW shampoo cum conditioner (dont if you hve dry hair , although its mentioned for dry hair , it dries out further), its the love of my life these days … 🙂
I liked the Garnier oil + shampoo thing..I used only 3-4 pouches of that, while on a trip. But it was really good, as I always oil my hair before shampooing otherwise my hair become all frizzy and weirdly unmanageable. I didn’t face any problem with this shampoo!! :-)) :-))

cali ,i dont mean to scare you but , my masi and my cousin tried that garnier shampoo & oil .- DISASTER .
for the first 8-10 washes hair is nice smooth and managable , but after that it makes ur hair fall like carzy …. you keep trying with the sachets …. buy only after some 15 washes or so .

U knw the only saving grace for me is my Zulfi hair oil which i had been using bachpan se…n had stopped using it after marriage…started using it again…othrwise i m sure i wud hav gone bald by now… :-((

Farha.. I dont know if Biotique shampoos suit you but if they do please try Biokelp for hairfall.. It helped me 100% with hairfall.. Oil.. oil and more oil.. before you shampoo…Hope it helps.. 🙂
