Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick #131 Review

Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick #131

Hello ladies,

Today, I am reviewing a lipstick I have been wearing almost everyday since the last few weeks. I am not much of a lipstick person, but off late, I have started collecting lippies in all shades possible! Here is the Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick #131 from the fantasy collection.

Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick

This is a beautiful, nude sort of pink which I am in love with. It is a cross between a frosty pink and a baby pink. It isn’t a dark hue, nor it is too light, just the right kind of pink. The colour is sheer and subtle.

It is a wonderful pink that you can easily carry off to work and even for a casual dinner. It is a soft colour, so it won’t work well with darker skin tones, but fair and medium-skin toned girlies can carry it really well.

However, it is not very pigmented, but I think the beauty of this colour is in its subtle undertones and hence, the average pigmentation is not a matter of concern, at least for me.

The swatch below appears a tad bit darker than the actual colour.

The texture of the lipstick is nice and creamy, but I wish it was more satin-like as the name suggests. It goes on pretty smooth though. The best part about the texture is that it is very moisturizing. It does not dry out my lips and also doesn’t make the lines look too prominent.

The main issue with this lipstick is the staying power! It vanishes within an hour and being so sheer, the lips are left bare once the lippy vanishes. I mean there’s no stain-effect or anything of that sort.

The packaging of the lipstick is what I don’t like. It is the regular Lakme case, but it feels cheap.

Price wise, I think it is a good buy. The colour, texture and quality are worth the money.

Rs.225/-, but I got a discount and paid only Rs.195/- :yahoo:

I’m wearing the lipstick in the picture above with Maybelline lip liner in Velvet Beige. I absolutely love this shade as it works equally well for me during day and night, regardless of the occasion. 😀

So I’d sum up the pros and cons –

– Lovely colour.
– Creamy texture but could have been better.
– Reasonably priced.

– Does not stay for too long.
– Poor packaging.
– Not highly pigmented, but as I mentioned earlier, with this lippy the pigmentation is not a major concern.
