L’Oreal Chrome Intensity Eyeshadow: 184 Cacao Mania
My sister got three of these for me and I have already shared the review on the Blue Jean one. Now, for the natural-looking one which can be worn in the day or afternoon or even subtly to office as an addition to the black liner, this one is another favourite of mine. Sometimes, it’s the quality that speaks louder than anything else for a product, so you first fall in love with the texture and the pigmentation and then with the shade, this is one such product for me.
Hoping India would get them soon, to add to the fantastic Chrome Shine shadows. These are truly intense, intensely pigmented, intensely colored and everything about them is top quality. It’s a total love for me.
The shade is called “Cacao Mania” and I was thinking it would be copper or something named, but never mind that. The shade is a metallic one with a soft metal finish, no gritty shimmer or glitter, and no fallout too. The shade feels very thick once swatched and when blended lightens the intensity, but I like to pat it on because such shades can never look over the top on olive skin.
I used them on a bad base and had trouble making them show up on my skin tone. It came out lighter than I thought, but still, it did leave an impression on me. Like you can see, it will go very well on Honey lens and perhaps the Hazel too. I totally love how they make the eye color pop out and the black liner looks fabulous with this one.
The staying power over a base is very good. They do not smudge or budge, but stay put on me. I did experience teeny fallout with this one, but not bothersome at all. The color will compliment warm skin tones, especially Indian skin can rock coppers and bronzes I think. I paired it with a deeper copper in the crease and I was done. I can wear this for day time too any day. I love such coppers. I could have done a better job with the EOTD, but the copper wasn’t showing up on the foundation base I used. Its very intense though as you can see from the swatch.

These are so intense, everything about these shadows is great. Till they come to India, you can check out the gorgeous Chrome Shine eyeshadows priced at Rs. 425 still I think!
