Lush Handy Gurugu Hand Cream Review
Hello Beautiful Ladies,
Firstly, a very big thanks to Team IMBB for posting my first review. I am overwhelmed for the lovely words of inspiration from the Team. Moving on with my following review, this is a heavy-duty hand cream from Lush. With the winters already setting in, my hands were demanding a thick, super moisture hand cream, as for the records I have very dry hands and also dry cuticles. I was looking for a non-sticky hand cream that would give the right amount of moisture. I got this for myself, read on to know how the cream has scored 🙂
Product Description:
A very butter rich cream, made in response to customers telling us they wanted a heavier hand cream to tackle hard worked hands.
How To Use:
A little of this cream goes a long way. Rub on and massage slowly onto the hands.
Top Tip:
Use any time of the day and before bed at night. You can put a thicker coating on when it has extra time to soak in.
Good to know:
The shea butter in this cream comes from women’s co-operative in Ghana, The Ojoba Project.
Packaging:
Comes in an average Lush pot packaging, hence traveling with this is a little bothersome. The texture being creamy, there is no chance of spillage though. The pot is strong and made of plastic, just a basic black pot packaging.
Ingredients:
Rose Water, Shea Butter, Glycerine, Stearic Acid, Organic Almond Oil, Triethanolamine, Fresh Organic Lemon Juice, Vanilla Absolute, Rose Absolute, Chamomile Blue Oil, Organic Cold Pressed Evening Primrose Oil, Organic Peanut Butter, Organic Pumpkinseed Butter, Organic Cashew Butter, Organic Almond Butter, Tincture of Benzoin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Methyl Ionone, *Benzyl Salicylate, *Coumarin, *Geraniol, *Benzyl Benzoate, *Farnesol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Perfume, Chlorophyllin, Methylparaben, Propylparaben *occurs naturally in essential oils.
Price:
Rs 850 for 100 gm 🙁
My Experience with Lush Handy Gurugu Hand Cream:
A very moisturizing hand cream which smells heavenly herbal. I love to smother my hands with this cream before going to bed and sniff it till I fall asleep 😛 I wake up with soft and supple hands and I am impressed with the amount of moisture it provides to my super-dry hands. But one drawback I find is that it does nothing to my cuticles, although it does claim to benefit cuticles.
The cream has small particles in it, which can be seen in the swatch, but I have failed to determine what exactly they are. The price may seem steep, but only a little goes a long way, so no complaints about that.

winter approaching slowly and i m in search of good hand cream this seems really awesome but yes very pricey!!nice review.
yeah this does give soft supple hands 🙂
Nice review! I feel the price is on the higher side 🙁
thanks dear…ya lush you know 🙁
lush is so expensive…. i heard a hand-made soap bar costs Rs.500 😮
ya 🙁
Looks like it is not user friendly when compared to tube versions.
agree, but not a problem for me because i keep this on my bedside table and apply only at night, ofcourse yes tubes are lot more user friendly! see how strict i am, i have deducted 1 point for that 😀
I thought Lush was freshly natural cosmetics making company.. I am surprised why they use parabens.. and the cream sounds good but it is pricey for a hand cream that too when it does nothing to cuticles.. 🙁
agree with you Surbhi, this is my only lush product and i believe when I am paying such a high price I can get paraben free products 🙂
*Surabhi 🙂

i love your piccys rashmita and I love how the cream looks in the tub packaging. But I like my hand creams packed in simple tubes so that they stay germ free and I can carry them around. thanks for the review. enjoyed reading it. 🙂
All credit for piccys to Hubby darling. I know what you mean by the ease of tube packaging, they are more user friendly in the amount you use and also remain germ free. Thanks a lot for the inspiring words Rati, means a lot 🙂
