Lush H’suan Wen Hua Hair Treatment
Hi Ladies,
I’m here to review one of my favourite hair masks/hair moisturisers ever. It is from Lush and is called “H’Suan Wen Hua.” Just like Montagne Jeunesse, I don’t know how to pronounce this. This is my very first purchase from Lush and when I bought it first, I had no idea whether it will work or not. At that time, I was using L’Oreal shampoo and conditioner, but I used to swim often in chlorinated pools and my hair was quite dry because of this even though my scalp was oily.
After I used this for the first time, I knew I’ll be hooked on to this forever :haanji: even though I feel it is too pricey. As a result, I purchased two tubs and now I’m on a small break from this product as I want to try cheaper alternatives. Because of this reason, I only have two empty tubs now and have to borrow some photos from the Lush website!! 😛

My Experience with Lush H’suan Wen Hua Hair Treatment:
Unlike other hair masks/treatments which are to be used after shampooing, this moisturiser is to be used prior to shampooing. Well, I think it makes it more user friendly, as I feel waiting for a hair mask to sink in while having a bath, in winter is just terrible! Well, so I applied this to my hair, waited for around 20 minutes. By this time, it had quite dried on my hair, as in semi dried. As soon as I washed it off with plain water, I could feel that my hair was smooth and sleek.
After this, I shampooed and conditioned my hair as usual. This is another reason why I like this product because when you use post shampoo treatments, you mostly have to skip conditioner.
Well, I would like to comment on the fragrance and texture now. The texture is like a soft fluffy lotion, but the smell, well it smells organic. This product contains eggs, avocado and olive oil among others and smells like a mixture of all three, but I won’t complain as these are wonderful ingredients for nourishment of hair. Even though the SA told me this product can only be used twice for my shoulder length hair , I cannot afford that, and I use each tub about four times and it works well.
On some days, when my hair feels super dry or extremely thirsty, this moisturiser smooths and calms it wonderfully. Even after shampooing and conditioning, a subdued version of the fragrance still lingers in my hair, but it is manageable for me. However, this smell might be uncomfortable for some. When I go to the beach and abuse my hair with salt water and sun, I definitely use this product soon after. After salt water and the sun plays havoc on my hair, it is one big mess and I really need this product to tame it. Hair becomes more manageable, deeply conditioned, shiny and soft with this product.
Pros of Lush H’suan Wen Hua Hair Treatment:
- Contains eggs, avocados and vinegar, all of which are well known in adding nourishment.
- Makes hair soft and smooth.
- Deeply conditions and nourishes hair, acts like thirst quencher for thirsty hair. :eat:
- Hair becomes more manageable after use.
Cons of Lush H’suan Wen Hua Hair Treatment:
- Contains parabens.
- Extremely pricey, since you need a big quantity each time. (After adding so many good ingredients, I don’t understand why they have to add parabens).
IMBB Rating:
4.5/5
Will I Repurchase Lush H’suan Wen Hua Hair Treatment?
I will definitely repurchase them, but I try not to use it continuously as it is expensive. I will try to make a DIY mask at home with some of these ingredients.

oh i wud love to try this….. :woot: :woot: :woot:
:thanks:
Now me torn between the this one and the loccitane
I Bee,
this one is more natural but I think L’occcitane will give you more uses per wash, so will turn out to be cheaper I guess.
Besides both are quite different in how they work, this is pre-shampoo, L’occitane is post shampoo, so you might want to try both :))))
this sounds super. i recently bought a Lush skincare product and love it so i am quite excited about trying more Lush products. will keep this in mind. waiting for my loreal liss ultimate masque to get over first:)
Thanks Aru,
Yes, you should try this
