My Experience with MAC 195 Concealer Brush
I love MAC brushes though I find them a bit expensive. But the superb quality makes them last many years, hence they’re worth the investment. I own this brush for more than six months now and have been using it regularly. It’s one of the best makeup brushes I have, hence can’t really compare it with my other makeup brushes, which are mostly Real Techniques, Morphe, Eco Tools etc.
Every MAC brush carries a code number, which means they are not divided range wise. I picked up the MAC 195 Concealer Brush from a local MAC Store here in the UAE. The brush is a full-length brush with flat bristles. It comes with synthetic bristles which are densely packed and very flexible.
It has a regular wooden dark grey/black handle. The handle is thin, which gives a good grip, and makes it easy to use. The brush feels quite sturdy. The shape of the MAC 195 Brush is very well thought of and advantageous to the purpose of concealing the imperfections of the face. The bristles form a triangular shape at the top. This makes it easy to reach the nooks and corners of the face easily. For example, the under eye area, sides of the nose, below the lower lip etc can be reached easily. The slightly pointed tip gives precision during application.
This brush makes highlighting around the eyebrows a cake walk! It glides the concealer around the eye brows giving them a neat and well-defined look. Since it’s a flat brush it can be used for correctors, concealers, foundations as well as cream eyeshadows. The MAC 195 Brush works best with cream products. However, it can be used for liquid products, too.
Another point worth mentioning is that I have already washed it many times but haven’t noticed any shedding of the bristles at all. The cleaning process of this brush is very easy and the brush has retains its original shape even today – despite such heavy usage in the past few months and multiple washes. Overall, it’s a fabulous brush in terms of utility, superb quality and affordability.
