MAC describes ravishing as clean light peachy coral.
Ravishing is a creemsheen finish lipstick. It is a soft peachy moving towards coral kind of a shade. It has a creamy finish. Ravishing belongs to the family of See Sheer and Crosswires. See sheer is warmer and suits almost everyone. Crosswires is coral moving towards orange kind of a shade. It is brighter . While ravishing is the lightest of the three . It is softer and understated kind of an orange that most people would be able to pull off. I personally cannot pull off Ravishing without a peachy / coral blush so that it co-ordinates the whole look. But guess that would depend from person to person.
This would suit light to medium skin tones. This could be a go to lipstick for lots of people. A lot of oranges make my skintone look sallow, Ravishing somehow gives a fresher look to the face.
The staying power is around 4 hours . It is a completely opaque lipstick. It does have a tendency to settle in fine lines so do make sure that your lips are exfoliated well. The lipstick is not drying at all . It gives a very comfortable wear. But for this particular shade, I suggest that you do try it at the store before you purchase it. It is a tricky color. 🙂
Overall, I really really and really like Ravishing. Highly recommend it.
It does remind me of Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Peach in a lot of ways.
