MAC Satin Taupe Eyeshadow Review, Swatch, FOTD

MAC describes Satin Taupe as Taupe with silver shimmer. Satin Taupe is it is actually a frosted cool toned brown with mauve undertones – taupe as one can put it. I am a huuuuuggeee taupe eyeshadow fan. I have a few taupe eyeshadows in my collection and I never get tired of wearing them. Satin Taupe is no exception. I love this color.
The texture is velvetty. Blends like a dream. Does not crease. The sheen stays on all day long. Barely there fall outs. Super pigmented. I like it more as a lid color but you can use it a transition color or a crease color as well. . Can be worn both during the day and evening. It is not shimmery but has a sheen.
I just feel that taupe eye shadows are not everyone’s colors. Satin taupe on its own looks a little dull on me. But just a bit of black or brown or plum on the pouter corner and it totally comes to its full potential.
It is a MUST HAVE from MAC eyeshadows. However since the color is quite unique, I would recommend you that you try this on lids at the store before you buy it. Either this will make your eyes look dull or totally add oomph to them.

I checked all three stores of MAC for this one….but in vain. Finally I got a dupe in NYX Iced mocha. Its like a perfect dupe of this. :))
