I recently picked up two Maybelline Super Stay 24 Lip Colors which are a part of their new launch. I was pretty excited to try them since I have always loved the Super Stay range. I have already reviewed the brighter shade called “Keep It Red” and here I am with a neutral one called “Won’t Move Mauve”! See how it worked for me.

How to Use:
Step 1. Apply liquid lip color to clean, bare lips.
Step 2. Allow two minutes to dry, then apply the ultra-conditioning balm to seal in moisture.
Step 3. Reapply balm as needed.
Step 4. Remove with an oil-based makeup remover.
My Experience with Maybelline Super Stay 24 Lip Color Won’t Move Mauve:
Packaging: The lip colour comes in a nice box with the name written over it. I love that Maybelline finally introduced the lip colours with a box packaging as it looks so much better for gifting. The name is written on the box as well as on the bottom of the lip colour. The colour of the lip colour is nicely visible in the cylindrical stick, making it easier to spot if you own a few. The stick has a liquid lip colour on one side and a clear lip balm on the other. I really love the concept of this duo! The packaging is flawless and these liquid lipsticks come at a very reasonable price.
Shade: The shade “Won’t move mauve” is a gorgeous nude brown shade with little dusty rose hints. It initially looks like a choco mousse brown but it turns into a taupe shade later. I really don’t understand why nudes are called mauves? A mauve is always supposed to have slight purple/berry hints while these never have that. But it is a gorgeous shade especially for the women who love neutrals. It is a nice daily wear shade as well as a great shade to pair up with smokey eyes. It has little pink glimmer particles which give it a metallic sheen after drying. I am personally not a fan of this metallic sheen since it would be great if it was just the brown colour. These metallic particles make it look a bit frosty. It is a good shade for all the Indian skin tones but you have to try it at the counter before buying.
Texture and finish: The lip colour has 2 finishes. One side is the liquid that has a sexy matte finish. It gets applied evenly and takes 2 minutes to dry and then it becomes transfer-proof. It is completely matte but gets very drying and stretchy. But for the matte look, I can totally manage that dryness. 😛 It can be transformed into a glossy finish as well by applying the clear lip balm. It adds hydration to my lips, making the matte base comfortable and non-stretchy.
Staying power: The staying power is just amazing! I cannot even describe how happy I was wearing this. Yes, I have to say that Maybelline stayed true to its claims. This will surely last more than 24 hours. It does not transfer or smudge at all once dried. It survives food and drinks as well. Removing it is a difficult task. It has to be rubbed with an oil if you wish to remove it completely. I am totally impressed with this and have not ever seen lipsticks like these! Hats off to the brand!

Yes, I would love too. I wouldn’t pick this one but will surely go for the brighter ones. If you are a looking for a good neutral shade with a great lasting power then try this!
Conclusion: Maybelline, you nailed it this time for sure! But I wish there were brighter and more rocking shades like pinks, maroons, oranges and so on!
