Today, I’m going to write about the product that is my must-have makeup essential nowadays and without which I never pack my bags, my NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder Dark Brown, Brown.
For years, I have been using the Lakme eyebrow pencil because I didn’t ever bother to check out other brands nor did I ever pay much attention to how my eyebrows looked. After I started reading beauty blogs, I realized that I was neglecting the most important part of my eyes, i.e., the brows which add a lot of character and definition to the face. Hence, my hunt to find the perfect brow filler began. Very soon, I was lucky enough to lay my hands on this particular baby from NYX Cosmetics and ever since I’m in love with this.

My Take on NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder Dark Brown:
The Eyebrow Cake Powder case contains 2 powders, a brow wax , a slanted brush and a round mascara like wand. It is like all you need to shape your brows in one case. This is the most amazing eyebrow filler I could have ever found. Both the powders are amazingly pigmented and one needs a really teeny weeny quantity to fill out the brows. It took me a bit of practice to find out how much I need for one application and now I’m much sorted. The powder is very smooth and soft and blends easily and once set with the wax they look perfect.
I have worn this for as long as 6-7 hours without the slightest of fading, and they add so much to the face that now I regret not buying it earlier.
It is written on the case “for those movie star brows” and it is so apt. These eyebrows make the brows look so naturally fuller, unlike pencils or stencils. You only need a little bit of practice with this since it is very easy to go overboard with too much color in the brows as this is highly pigmented.
There are six shades available and it is impossible to be not able to find your perfect match. I have the second shade ECP 02 which is Dark Brown/Brown and it is the perfect shade for me.
I read a rule somewhere that eyebrows should be one shade lighter than your hair color and not the same shade as your hair, so they’d look more natural. Hope this tip also helps you to decide your shade.

It does indeed, and I was so sick of the Lakme eyebrow pencil that I decided to get this.. :shying: :shying: My almost non-existent eyebrows come to life with this, :happydance: but you already have such full brows, u might not be needing the sleek filler all the time.. ?:)

pick woodwinked. it’s easier to wear and more versatile than amberlights. 🙂
i just use it to fill in the gaps. rest on most days i dont bother. 😛

I think it will Sukanya, this is a very natural color for Indian skin..the Black may be too stark…the general rule is the brows should be a tad lighter than the darkest natural hair color, so you can decide..there are about 5 or 6 shades to choose from..
