Origins Ginger Souffle Whipped Body Cream Review

Hello beautiful ladies,

Wish you all a Very Happy New Year 2014.  I know I am late, but better late than never right!! This is my first post in 2014. Today, I am here to review Origins Ginger Souffle Whipped Body Cream.

Product Description:

When waging battle with the elements, whether they are cold and dry or hot and humid, you can always seek shelter in this creamy cocoon. A relaxing sensation spreads all over you as tangy Ginger embraces your body while skin-nourishing Olive Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Rice Bran Oil and Apricot Kernel Oil invisibly surround weary, dreary skin in softness. All the while, the citrusy-crisp scent of lush, lighthearted Lemon, Lime and Bergamot lifts listless spirits. There’s no more savory way to shoo your malaise.  Best for all skin types.

How To Use:

Massage over body skin after bath/shower until absorbed.

My Take on Origins Ginger Souffle Whipped Body Cream:

I am a sucker for any moisturizer that has great smell and light consistency as I suffer from dry skin on hands and legs! I am always on a constant search for new products and I love to change my body moisturizers quite often.  A few of my favorites are Cetaphil, BBW lotions and body butters, TBS body butters and Lush body lotions. This time, I decided to try Origins as they are made from natural ingredients and have great reviews online.

Packaging:  This cream comes in a jar and also a travel-size squeeze tube. I decided to pick the tube as it is more hygienic than digging your fingers in the tub.  Also, it is travel friendly and I can carry it in my handbag and use it on the go.

Consistency: It has a creamy consistency in the tube and a buttery consistency in the jar.

What it does:  Moisturizes and keeps the skin smooth and supple. Suitable for all skin types.

Scent:  Main ingredient of this cream is ginger.  As most of other lotions, it is neither fruity nor floral, not citrusy. It has mild fragrance of ginger and lime which is not overpoweringly strong. It is quite pleasant and stays on the skin.

Feel:  It feels very light and non-slippery on skin. It goes on smooth and blends easily without being greasy and keeps the skin hydrated and soft. This makes it suitable for use in any season/weather.

Pros of Origins Ginger Souffle Whipped Body Cream:

  • Product is made of natural ingredients and formulated without harmful chemicals like parabens.
  • Lightweight cream which doesn’t feel greasy on the skin.
  • Nice ginger fragrance which is not overpowering.
  • Keeps skin hydrated and smooth.
  • Travel friendly and hygienic tube.
  • Best for all skin types and all seasons.

Cons of Origins Ginger Souffle Whipped Body Cream:

  • Not available in India.
  • Its a bit pricey for a body lotion.

Overall Summary:

I love this product for the smell, consistency and feel on the skin. It keeps my skin feeling fresh, smooth and moisturized without making it feel greasy and slippery. Since the tube is very handy, I carry it  in my bag and mostly use it as a hand cream. I suggest this cream to everyone.
