Outfit of the Day: Blue Palazzo Pants

Outfit of the Day: Blue Palazzo Pants

Hello Ladies!

What’s up?

I come again, with another OOTD.  (You too smell an OOTD over-load happening? Me too! :D)

Outfit of the Day Blue Palazzo Pants

Delhi’s been having quite a funny (read: stupid!) weather lately! It’s unbearably hot on days when the clouds are dark and it rains on days when the sun is shining bright! The streets 10 yards away from my house are water-logged, when the street right outside my house is famine-struck! Yes! It’s unbelievable!! But, bizarrely, true!

Blue Palazzo Pants

Time to talk about the second fashion blooper! *drum roll please, all hail*

It is…. wearing palazzo pants!!

No- no, wait! I didn’t mean it like that! There is no harm in wearing them; they are totally awesome a trend to rock! The problem however, lies in wearing them during a down-pour!

I had bought these palazzo pants over about three months back, before the Delhi monsoons. Although, it hasn’t rained much here, yet I couldn’t wear them much, thanks to the very dicey, very playful and the very unpredictable monsoon weather! *throwing stones at the clouds*

Palazzo Pants

Why, you ask? I couldn’t wear them because, they sweep the floor as I walk and I didn’t want to spoil these beauties in the dirty roads during rains. You too, I’d suggest,  if you love your palazzos dearly, don’t wear them during rains! You will end up crying! (Been there, done that!!)

But after showing a lot of patience for a long time, I finally gave in, I couldn’t wait a day more to wear them and now I have been wearing them almost every other day (this month, that is); not caring zilch about the weather! Today morning too, I took a deep breath, crossed my fingers, prayed for it to not rain and pulled them out again!

Palazzo Pants

The question now comes, why wear them at all? Why not show some patience, and wait for the monsoon to pass?
Because these pants are gorgeous! Just have a look? They are too good to be true; I have to pinch myself every time I wear them! The style: the wide cut and the waist band, the colour: a lovely navy, the fabric quality: so flowy and cashmere-like; I feel so princess-y after slipping into them! I also prefer calling them my Jasmine-pants. 😉 (Remember? Jasmine from Aladin. She wore something similar; wide-leg, flowy pants with a band on the waist 😛

Although these look good with umpteen colours and styles, I styled them with a very basic t-shirt in soft pink. I accessorised with simple pieces in silver, and Bazinga!! 😀 Very easily an outfit to run some quick errands; it could also be a cute wear-to-college, and even wearable to some casual evening-out.

Silver Bag

Wearing them today; to my university first, then a coffee-date with the girlies, followed by some window-shopping. Totally comfortable for the long day!
