After long I have found a mascara that is not too casual niether overtly dramatic yet very dramatic enough for me. After my Di gave me lashblast from Covergirl, I had never been satisfied with any other. I could not let go off it but had to throw it later on. Since then I have been using hyper curl and colossal but somehow I did not like them much, I need to add drama to my lashes since sometime I need to open my eyes up. I also own a maybelline falsies which is sealed and I will open it later on.We need to replace mascaras often hence I thought now let me dump the colossal and maybelline ones and start with my new one, Revlon. The color is super black like it says.

I was busy with buying  the L’Oreal moist matte range but then the Revlon SA said “this is new” well, I hadn’t bought a mascara in the past six months so I went for this one. I am happy I did. This mascara delivers what it claims, that is volume, it is waterproof and my dull lashes are amplified and magnified. The price is very Revlon-like so I do not know if it is okay but yes the mascara has done a good job for me so I am okay with the 650 tag. Consistency of the mascara is just fine, not too dry or thick, niether too runny. It works great for getting to all my lashes. The plastic bristles may feel a little hard.

The mascara comes sealed with a stopper and the brush is separate, I enjoyed dipping the new white brush in the tube to blacken and use it 😛 the brush is plastic and very separated kind of bristles and the tip also has rounded bristles which they call lash finder. Yes it does get to all lashes and coats them .In one coat this is what it looks like:

It has been compared to Benefit’s They’re real mascara but I have never used that one so I will not go down that road. This mascara dries up quickly on the lashes and then the lashes kind of feel stiffer. It holds the curl okay but my problem is with the slight clumping when you are in a hurry. I have noticed it slightly flakes too if not applied evenly. But I am so happy with the semi dramatic results that I will take my time to wear it nicely. The mascara is waterproof and it takes a while and an oil-based remover to remove it which is a real pain for all my mascaras, so cannot blame this one.revlon_photoready_3d_volume_mascara__9_

So far it has not run down on me, there is mild clumping. I am not too fond of the bulky matte cheap plastic pack but the brush on the other hand does a good job. So for me it is a hit ignoring some nuances. You can surely try it if you have straight few lashes, it will lengthen, magnify, voluminize your lashes and two coats worn evenly can make it dramatic. I am not sure how well it holds the curl but I am happy with the ends of the lashes I got, they look quite curled.Overall a good pick!

    1. Hi neha… Actually I had a bad experience with this ptoduct…. It clumped horribly on the tube as well on my eyelashes… Maybe my product was defective.. I had to throw it away after one month only

  2. great neha *clap* *clap* love ur eotd *woot* Wil try this next. Is it true that the shelf life of mascara is 3 months?

  3. Nice review, just one request, its hard to see the effect of the mascara when you’re wearing black kajal/ eyeliner, its easier for us to judge the mascara without kajal on the eyelid, just saying 🙂

  4. This is one of my favorite, after maybelline and benefit, black color is really black and i just love *drool* *happy dance* *happydance* , nice EOTD
