Hey Guys,

Today I will be reviewing an eye shadow palette from Revlon. My cousin had gifted this to me around a year ago and I was surprised to see that it has not been reviewed on IMBB yet. So, I decided to share my experience with you guys. My cousin purchased it from US so this is not available in India; But you can purchase this online.

Price and Packaging:
Currently it is priced at $9.99. I think the price is reasonable as you get 5 eye shades to choose from. I really like the packaging of this palette as it already comes in the shape of an eye so you know where each color will go. Proper instructions are given at the back of the palette regarding the application of the shades. The packaging is quite sturdy nothing flimsy at all. The lid shuts with a click sound. I really like the packaging.

My Take On Revlon PhotoReady Pop Art Primer, Shadow + Sparkle:

All the shades are of shimmery finish and not a single one is of a matte or satin finish. I will say that the shades are not too shimmery but it does have quite a good amount of shimmer, except for the white primer one.

The staying power of these shades is really good. I have pretty normal eye lids and it lasts for about 5-6 hours easily. I have not worn this for more than 6 hours so cannot comment on that. I will say that they are of really creamy texture; they are not powdery at all. But it falls out terribly during application.

  • The first shade is the white colored primer; it has a matte finish and when I apply this on my lids, it becomes slightly green in color. I hate this thing because if I want it to use with any other shade apart from a green eye shadow, it looks really dirty.
  • The second shade is a light green, extremely shimmery and glittery shade. According to the company, when you have finished your eye makeup just dust this all over to it get a glittery look.
  • The third shade is the lid color. It is between a teal green and ash green kind of shade. It really is a gorgeous color.
  • The fourth one is the crease shade which is dirty brown in color. I personally do not like this color for my crease because it just kills the beautiful green color.
  • The last shade is the golden colored highlight which is again shimmery and also has specks of glitter in it.

All the shades have nice pigmentation individually, but they apply would look better when wet. You will be able to see it in the pictures. The swatches on my hand are wet eyeshadows, and the swatches on my wrist are dry.
