Face gels are holy-grail products for oily skinned beauties. After emptying three tubs of Bamboo Gel from the brand, The Face Shop, I decided to get my hands on its Lotus Soothing Gel. At the store, my eyes got stuck on this cute bottle which also contains soothing gel and was meant for sensitive skin. I was so happy and picked up this cute bottle instantly. Let’s get into its review.

My Experience with The Face Shop Fresh Gourd Soothing Gel:
Packaging: It comes in a super cute green colored plastic bottle, which has a shape of an earthen pot with a brown pump. This bottle is the main culprit which made me buy it. Just look at it, it’s so cute and attractive. It looks so soothing when kept on the vanity. The pump works perfectly and dispenses the right amount of product. The bottle is quite heavy and not at all travel-friendly. Overall, the packaging is quite convenient.
As the name suggests, it’s a transparent gel which has a thick consistency, but in spite of that, it spreads very easily onto the skin. It instantly goes into the skin without leaving any residue, making the skin look quite fresh and soothed. It hydrates the thirsty skin and the skin gulps it all at once. It’s a multi-tasking product which can be used as a moisturizer, sleeping mask or as an after-sun treatment. It instantly calms down the tanned skin. It feels so cool and relaxing onto your skin. It can be used both on face and body.
It’s meant for all skin types and is perfect for sensitive skin as well. I use it as a moisturizer and it keeps my skin fresh and hydrated without making it greasy. The biggest pro is that it has never caused breakouts. I have used it as a sleeping mask as well, after a long tiring day and I find my skin all glowing and soothed in the morning. I have used it as an after shaving gel to soothe my skin and to avoid any bumps. It works so well. It’s a complete value for money, undoubtedly. I have tried all the variants of face gels from the brand, The Face Shop, and hands down, all the gels have worked so well for my skin.
