Dates are always fun. You have a great time together (well most of the times!) and get to know each other a little bit more on a date. But when, it is a first date, stakes are usually higher. You are a bit nervous and totally clueless about what to wear. In today’s post, I will tell you what NOT to wear on your date!
1. Workout Clothes:
It would really matter if you are dressing up for the date instead of going to the date right after the gym.
2. Never-Ending Heels:
Wearing 5 inch towering heels on your first date is definitely, not recommended. If you must wear heels then choose gladiator sandals or wedges instead of stilettos.
3. Too Much Makeup:
Smokey eyes with bold red lips is definitely OTT for a day out. Wear makeup that looks more natural with a light flush of colour on your lips.
4. New Shoes:
You need to walk a day or two in your new shoes. They might irritate on your feet or give you blisters. You do not want to limp on your date do you?
5. Something Uncomfortable:
Give your clothes a test run before choosing them. Wear something you are comfortable in. Adjusting your hair, your clothes again and again will take the focus away from the conversation you are having.
6. Your Sweatshirt:
You may be the girl, who does not go by any stereotypes and wears whatever she is comfortable in but it should look like you put in a little effort and you were looking forward to this date.
7. Sheer Tops and Fishnet Stockings:
Sheer can look classy to crass in seconds if it not worn well. You can easily go wrong with the sheer fabric. So choose the tops carefully if you want to wear something sheer only and fishnet stockings are definitely not meant for first dates although they are damn sexy.
8. Too Short Skirts
Wear skirts in which you are comfortable and show just the right amount of those toned calves. Micro minis are not an ideal outfit choice for a first date.
9. T-Shirts with Slogans:
Avoid wearing t-shirts with bold messages printed on it – for example – “Bossy is Beautiful,” “Human Beings Scare Me,” which will kind of jeopardize the first date.
10. Too Much Jewellery:
Avoid wearing a lot of heavy jewellery on your first date, wear trendy and dainty jewellery which would look pretty impressive.
