How to Treat Damaged Hair After Rebonding

1. Go for a trim before starting reviving treatments:

If your hair is damaged beyond repair, it makes sense to get a quick trim first before trying any reviving treatments on it. This way, you will get rid of dead ends which cannot be repaired by any means and you can finally start concentrating on the strands that have some scope for betterment.

2. Argan oil:

Argan oil is a tad bit expensive but totally worth it, in my opinion. It is extremely beneficial for hair and scalp and is mostly used for deep conditioning treatments and even as a light leave-in conditioner. Also, it is rich in Vitamin E and helps in getting rid of dandruff and fights a dry scalp.

3. Coconut oil and curry leaves:

To make your own coconut and curry hair oil, first, boil some coconut oil in a pan and then add some curry leaves to it, cover the pan with a lid and let them seep in for about ten minutes before sieving it. After sieving, wait for it to cool down and then store in a dark bottle in a cool place. Coconut oil is a natural way to boost hair growth and nourish your scalp whereas, curry leaves reduce hair fall and hair thinning and also prevent premature hair graying.

4. Egg and honey mask:

Beat an egg or two depending on your hair length and mix it with some honey. Apply this concoction to your entire hair length and wait for about half an hour to 45 minutes to wash it off. Eggs are one of the best sources of protein and amino acids essential for good hair whereas, honey acts as a humectant and treats severely dry and damaged locks of hair and is also anti-bacterial which means it gives you a healthy scalp and fights all sort of scalp infections and dandruff.

5. Essential oil may become your best friend:

essential oils and medical flowers herbs

Depending on your concerns, you can choose an essential oil or two and mix it with a carrier oil that suits your hair texture and needs. Essential oils are nothing but basically concentrated hydrophobic liquids which contain the volatile aroma and properties of the plant that they belong to. If used correctly, they give optimum results fast and solve all your skin and hair issues. Some of the best essential oils that you could use for glorious hair are Clary Sage, Chamomile, and Cedarwood oil. Also, some great carrier oils which you can use are Grapeseed, Olive and Coconut oil. Brands which make awesome essential oils in India are Aroma Magic, Soulflower and Kama Ayurveda.

6. Avocado and vitamin E hair mask:

Avocado helps in rejuvenating and reviving your scalp and hair and is rich in vitamin A, amino acids and essential vitamins and minerals. It promotes hair growth and makes your hair stronger and shinier too. On the other hand, vitamin E is a strong antioxidant that helps in repairing damaged hair and reduces inflammation and also revives your hair follicles. To make an avocado and vitamin E hair mask, blend some avocado and oil from vitamin E pill together and make a thick paste. To bind everything together, you may also use some olive oil which gives a lot of benefits as well. Keep this hair mask on for about 20-30 minutes before rinsing off.

That’s all for today, girls! Hope this helps! 🙂
