My Experience with Yves Rocher Couleurs Nature Kohl Pencil Anthracite 02:
The Kohl pencil comes in a plastic skin cover. So, you can be sure that it has not been swapped by any other color pencil. Packaging is hygienic and travel safe. The Kohl pencil is more like a normal pencil with wooden cover and the kohl inside. It has a protective transparent cap. The cap is made of good plastic and does not break after a few uses. Overall, the product is handy and a must have in my travel bag. One can see the color through the transparent cap, and also at the base of the pencil. In total, I have 5 of them and I store them upside down. It’s very quick and easy to recognise and use.
The Kohl itself is charcoal grey in color. It’s very close to black color but with a softer edge. The Kohl pencil can be used to line the top eyelids like eyeliner or under the eye lining. I have also used it for water lining and tight lining. The pencil glides smoothly and softly all over making it very easy to use (even for beginners).
I normally use it in the morning and do not require any touch ups till the end of the day. The product lasts long on the eyes. When used as an eyeliner, it does not flake due to the soft formula. It also does not smudge when applied on the water lines. This can be a quick replacement for black liquid eyeliners. One can line the eyes within seconds and be all set to go.
The product has absolutely no shimmer and is completely matt. The color payoff is really good. I wear it to work during weekdays, and also weekends when I spent my complete day outside. I have noticed that the Kohl stays put if you are sitting in an air-conditioned room and not spending a lot of time outside. It does not even smudge. But when worn outdoors on a sunny sweaty day, it does smudge and melts away and by the end of the day, it’s nowhere to be seen. If the weather is cold, then there is no problem. It also fades away if you have oily eyelids. It’s perfect for people who like to keep their makeup to a minimum. It’s also easy to create smoky eyelids with this pencil.
It’s waterproof which makes it perfect for me since I wear contact lens. The product can be wiped out using makeup wipe at the end of the day. For this price, it’s a perfect find. It’s cruelty-free and not tested on animals.
