Step-by-Step Eye Makeup Tutorial - Green Smokey Eyes

Step 1:

Before you start your eye look, you’ll want to create the perfect base. Wash your face with a gentle cleanser and moisturize your skin so that your makeup won’t flake. With a small foundation brush or your fingers, apply any eyeshadow primer of your choice all over your eyelids. This will help you keep your eye makeup from smudging and help it to stay in place all day long.
Step 1

Step 2:

Start with applying a highlighter on your brow bone. Apply a shimmery golden ivory eyeshadow with an eyeshadow brush. Also, dab that on the inner and outer corners of your eyes.
Step 2

Step 3:

Start applying the transition shade on your crease using a fluffy brush. Blend it well in upward and downward strokes.
Step 3

Step 4:

Sweep an emerald green color all over your eyelid. Then, put one more layer of the green eyeshadow on your eyelids so that the color will pop.
Step 4

Step 5:

Add some black color. Put some black eyeshadow to the outer corner, right above your lash line. This will complement your eyeliner and make your eyes stand out.
Step 5

Step 6:

Blend it out. After you’ve applied your shadows, blend them together to get a flawless look. Use a clean blending brush to do this. Start from the outer corner of your eye, and move the brush inwards in small and light circular motion. Focus on your crease and your lash line (where you had smeared the darker shadows).
Step 6

Step 7:

Complete this look by applying a black winged eyeliner.
Step 7

Step 8:

Use a black waterproof eyeliner pencil to line your top and bottom waterlines. These are the inner lines of your eyes below your eyelashes. Apply the same green color on your lower lash line with a flat brush.
Step 8

Step 9:

Use an eyelash curler to quickly curl your lashes, and put on one coat of any black mascara and you are done!
