The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask

Hello Everybody,

Here is a review of another Body Shop product – Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask

Product Description:

Sink some antioxidant Vitamin E into your skin. Bring skin back to optimum moisture level with this intensely hydrating mask.

Recommended Use:

To achieve maximum skin hydration, use this moisturizing facial mask once a week as part of your total skin care regime. Smooth a thin layer on cleansed skin, leave on 10 minutes, then tissue off excess or blend into skin and leave on overnight for an intensive moisture treatment. Use only a small amount– just enough to cover your skin.

Key Ingredients:

  • Cotton seed oil and Rice Bran.  Both provide intense moisture and are good sources of natural vitamin E.
  • Organic soya oil.  Has moisturizing and healing properties that make it ideal for intensive skin care treatments. It’s also a source of income for organic farmers in Brazil.
  • Vitamin E.  Vitamin E conditions, nourishes, and protects the skin, leaving it soft, smooth, and healthy.

Ingredients:

Water, Glycerin, Cyclomethicone, Propylene Glycol, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Gossypium herbaceum (Cotton) Seed Oil, Triticum Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Oil, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Diglycerin, Methyl Gluceth-20, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Panthenol, Phenoxyethanol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Benzyl Alcohol, Lecithin, Methylparaben, Sodium Hydroxide, Fragrance, Disodium EDTA, Butylparaben, Ethylparaben, Isobutylparaben, Propylparaben, Red 4.

My Experience with The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask:

I am a huge fan of Body Shop products, mostly because I like that they support under-appreciated farmers and have a “no animal testing” policy. I am always on the lookout for a chance to buy their products and when I came across this, I immediately bought it.

It has a texture which is sort of in the middle of a cream and a cooling gel. It’s not like a typical face mask, the skin basically just absorbs it in, in seconds and it leaves the face non-greasy but shiny. A little bit goes a long way, trust me. The direction says to apply and blot or wash it off after 10 minutes, but considering that I have very dry to combination skin, I leave it on overnight and the next morning, my skin feels so soft and hydrated. It doesn’t help much with the dry and flaky spots on my nose and other areas. I just use it once a week as I have noticed using it more than that makes pimples appear on my T zone. The smell is quite light and refreshing and I feel it almost smells like roses. Just keep in mind to stay away from this product if you have oily skin. On the other hand, this product is ideal for dry skin.

Pros of The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask:

  • It is nongreasy.
  • Leaves skin feeling cool and refreshed.
  • Light texture.
  • A little goes a long way, DO NOT use a lot.
  • Does help with dryness with prolonged use.

Cons of The Body Shop Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask:

  • Expensive, do try to get it during sale.
  • Contains parabens, I try to refrain from using too much of those products.
  • Not suitable for oily skin.

IMBB Rating:

3.5/5

Anyway, it was my first wedding anniversary a few days back and my hubby gave me this beautiful ring, I am so excited I had to share :D

your manicure is very pretty and your hands are really beautiful and congratulations for the anni!!! I have wanted to try this product since long but seeing cyclomethicone as its ingredient has made me skeptical about it….I don’t want to have silicones in my skin or hair care regime.
