Happy New Year to Everyone once again. Delhi is just freezing and freezing more by every day. There has been no sun since two days. But I think winters are the best days when you can dress up and have fun with makeup the most. You get least worried about your foundation meltings or liner smudgings. Winters gives us more reason to dress up and look beautiful.
So here comes my first review of the year: Colorbar Stick Concealer
Why should you buy Colorbar Stick Concealer?
- It’s creamy
- It’s going to last forever but I plan to discard it after an year.
- It’s non messy.
- It goes on my skin like a dream.
- The packaging is very convenient. It’s just like throwing another lipstick in your bag and you can do touch ups anywhere and anytime of the day. All you need is your ring finger.
- The texture is soft so the concealer is easily bendable.
- It does not settle in my crease.
- The staying power is good.
- It’s buildable.
Why should you NOT buy Colorbar Stick Concealer?
- Its’ expensive- Rs 425
- A lot of it is going to go waste (atleast for me)
- It might look cakey, if not applied properly.
How To Use Colorbar Concealer Stick?
It’s super easy. If you are using it under your eyes, just swipe the stick directly under the hollow of your eyes and blend it with your ring finger/ brush. Dab a damp sponge to remove the excess and set the concealer with powder (loose/pressed). I use my face powder/compact and the concealer stays put for hours at a stretch.
If you are using to hide your blemishes, just dot the concealer on the blemishes and blend away.
I just make sure to wipe off the concealer top with a tissue before closing the lid.
It is best to use this concealer AFTER your have done your foundation and BEFORE you do your powder. This way your foundation would cover most of your light blemishes leaving little room for concealer and hence less chances of cakiness.
I am wearing the COlorbar’s concealer under my eyes and you can see it just blends well with my complexion. Mind you! I do have dark circles.:) I am wearing the Truffle eye pencil from Colorbar on top my lids. Truffle is gorgeous brown colour that I wear almost every second time I step out of home.
I noticed that the colorbar’s site no longer shows the concealer in their list of products. I have no clue about the reason but there must be manufacturing shortage so they have not displayed the product online. However you would be able to find it in stores. They are already running short of their brushes so you must hurry for the concealer!
When I bought the concealer, it was available in 3 shades : Coral(for lighter complexions), Caramel (for medium complexions), Coffee (for darker complexions). I have the one in Caramel and it goes well with my skin.
I also noticed that Colorbar has included more shaded in their foundations and compact powders, which is definitely a yay! Atleast some Indian company is trying hard to raise its standards and give tough competition to high end brands.
Thee is inclusion of Colorbar Extra Durable lipcolour in 10 shades as well. Colorbar is going places and it makes me super happy. The site says that it is kiss proof and an ideal stuff for a date.
Would I repurchase it? I hope they have not stopped manufacturing it. I would definitely repurchase it.
Have you used Colorbar’s concealer yet?
UPDATE: The colorbar concealer is not showing on Colorbar’s website but a quick google search took me to that page. I guess this was an old page that google is still reflecting.
