Green Tea Face Scrub Mask To Fade Acne Scars: Do It Yourself

Green Tea Face Scrub Mask To Fade Acne Scars: Do It Yourself

Hello sweeties,

As you all know home remedies are the best friends to go with when you do not want to use those harsh and chemical products for your skin. I keep on using home remedies to see which one works for me, and I use the one which works for me at least twice a week. Acne and acne scars are one of the major skin problems in a girl’s life. So, this is a home remedy which will effectively face away your acne scars and give you a clear spotless face if you use it twice or thrice a week. So, let’s go ahead and make this amazing skin treating DIY.

Things you will need:

Green+Tea+Face+Scrub+Mask+To+Fade+Acne+Scars+Do+It+Yourself

  • 1 Green tea bag.
  • 1 spoon honey.
  • 2 spoons rice flour.
  • 5-6 drops of lemon juice (optional) (if the lemon juice does not sting your skin, then you can put this in your DIY mask too).

A very short description of the benefits of these ingredients:

Green tea: The anti-bacterial property of green tea makes it effective in treating acne. They kill the bacteria that are known to cause skin damage and leave behind scars. According to studies, green tea also has anti-cancer properties so you can imagine how well it would fight your acne problem, if it has the potential to fight cancer. The antioxidants in green tea are more than 200 times stronger than those found in Vitamin E.

Honey: Normally, the bacteria resides underneath your skin but does not cause problems until that oil gland becomes clogged. The bacteria then feeds on the oil and multiplies, inflaming the skin and giving rise to acne. Bacteria need water to grow, so when the honey is applied, the bacteria is deprived of the water it needs to flourish. And thus honey helps in fighting acne as well as acne scars breaking the tissue beneath the skin.

Lemon juice: Lemon juice is a very effective home ingredient that helps to lighten the entire skin tone mostly referred as a natural bleach. It helps to lighten the acne scars and this in fact is the best one. It will brighten the skin removing the darkness or tan from the inner layer of your skin.

Rice flour: If you’re suffering from acne scars or sun spots, rice flour can help to lighten them up perfectly. It is also wonderful for treating acne and oily skin.

So, let’s see how to make this. A very easy DIY , just mix the ingredients and you are done!!

Step-By-Step Procedure:

Step 1:  Take a small bowl and a spoon. I have dipped the green tea already and drank it. So, let the green tea bag be a little warm and moist. Now, open the tea bag from the upper portion and empty the tea bag into the bowl and evenly mix it with the spoon so that the green tea particles are separated properly.

Step 2: Now, take pure honey and in a spoon and pour the honey into the green tea that you have kept in the bowl and stir well to mix the green tea particles and honey.

Step 3: Now, this step is optional. Slice half of a fresh lemon and just squeeze it into the mixture so that 5-6 drops are added to the mixture of green tea and honey. Lemon juice works the best on my skin so I always add it but if it stings your skin or causes a burning sensation then you can skip putting lemon. But if possible do put lemon juice as this gives very good results.

step 3

Step 4: Now, the mixture would be very runny as you have added two liquids, honey and lemon juice. To even out the consistency, take 1 big spoon of rice flour and stir the mixture well so that it mixes properly.

Step 5: You are ready with the 2 in 1 scrub-mask!!

Directions To Use:

1. Wash your face with your regular cleanser or face wash.

2. Apply the mixture all over your face and scrub your face with your fingers using circular motions for 8-10 minutes. This will exfoliate your skin and also help in blood circulation which will help to remove dead cells.

3. Some of the scrub will fall off so after massaging apply some more pack to the face and let it stay undisturbed for 20 minutes or so.

4. Now, after 20 minutes, gently scrub the mask with water to remove it off. Be gentle while removing the residue.

5. Now, wipe your face with a napkin and apply your daily moisturizer. No need to wash your face with a face wash as it will make the skin even more dry.

You will notice a very smooth and bright skin, and trust me you will definitely see these changes. Using it for a month, twice a week will help to buff away the dead cells and remove all the acne and acne scars. Drinking green tea is the best option, but there are many people like who do not like the taste at all. I normally have it twice in a week because the body tends to lose weight if taken every day and I don’t want to lose weight. So, this is the best option to go with. This refreshes your skin and helps in removing tan as well. So, go ahead make this mask, apply it, sit back and relax and see the amazing results yourself!!
