Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Night Cream Review

Hello friends!

How are you doing today? I am here to share another skincare product with you all from Neutrogena Naturals range which is my most loved and preferred skin care range out of all Neutrogena products. However, I am in two minds with this particular Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Night Cream as I am experiencing breakouts with this night cream. Let me give you a brief idea about my skin; it is a hybrid of sensitive and oily skin type apart from being prone to acne or breakouts.

During summers, it tends to become more prone to zits, blemishes with first signs of ageing as well, while winters are more of a breeze. Hence, I always look out for oil free plus anti-ageing solutions in my skin care regimen to fight blemishes, dehydration and first signs of ageing simultaneously! And, the irony is that I love the texture and finish of this night cream and really want to continue with it, but my acne prone skin plus hot weather can’t stay harmonious. I am still determined to try it again in winters and thought of sharing it with you all today!

My Experience with Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Night Cream:

The night cream comes in a heavy glass jar packaging with just one plastic lid and no additional safety cover which I would have appreciated, but it’s still manageable. I was much fascinated about its luscious ingredients which made me get it despite my love for tube or pump dispenser packaging. I like its subtle fresh scent which lingers on for few minutes. Overall, I find it decent and tricky for travel purpose.

The texture of this thick white night cream is really luscious and rich which explains why it comes in an open jar. It is way creamy and intensely hydrating for our skin and does not feel heavy or greasy at all to my surprise. It almost sinks into the skin within seconds leaving no greasy or oily feel at all. I seriously love the way my skin looks after massaging it onto the skin. Moreover, my swimming routine and lack of care had given me dry, flaky skin around nose & on cheeks; this night cream treated them within few days without accentuating them further.

I was also happy to see that my skin looked fresher, glowing even with zits unlike how it used to be dull during summers. Even it helped me in making my skin tone even apart from refining my skin texture. However, I did notice that even though it does not look or feel greasy on my skin, I did wake up to slight oily skin by morning. I would have still lived with it but then I also started getting more breakouts with this night cream.

Initially, I thought that getting breaksouts might have something to do with clearing of pores from within and I kept patience and continued with this night cream. However, I think it is something to do with a bad combination of hot weather, my swimming routine, my oily + acne prone skin and the rich night cream all together! To be honest, I am still intrigued to try it in winters again hoping that my dry-combination skin will accept it by then because I am in love with its paraben free formulation with almost 97% natural or naturally derived ingredients. Not to forget, it gave me super soft, glowing skin when my skin was craving for moisture and suffered dry flakes.

I would recommend this night cream to dry, combination skin beauties you will definitely love the texture, finish and results on your skin. However, beauties with sensitive, acne prone oily/combination skin should rather try it in winters. Personally, I am also trying it again in winters because I love how it makes my skin super soft, glowing with every usage. Hopefully it won’t accentuate my acne during winter.

Let’s sum up pros and cons:

Pros of Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Night Cream:

• A lightweight, multi-vitamin enriched, luscious night cream
• Formulated without parabens, harsh chemicals, dyes, sulfates, petrolatum and phthalates
• Does what it claims up to a great extent
• Gets sinked into our skin easily
• Does not leave oily or greasy feel behind, just nourished, soft skin
• It treated my flaky, dry skin within few days with its amazing moisturizing properties
• Refined my skin and made it more even toned and supple
• Love the way it feels on my skin
• It will definitely suit dry skinned beauties all year round
• It might work well for oily, combination skin, but in winter

Cons of Neutrogena Naturals Multi-Vitamin Nourishing Night Cream:

• Beauties prone to acne, zits might find it tricky
• It gave me breakouts
• Makes skin oily by morning
• Jar packaging

Well, I don’t know what makes me crave for this night cream despite knowing that it slightly disappoints me. If your skin is very sensitive and breaks out easily, you should stay away from this night cream, but it is really an amazing product. Beauties with dry or even very dry skin, you need to get it, lucky you!

  1. I don’t have sensitive skin but Neutrogena products, except their sunscreen do give me breakout for some strange reason. Like you, I too used to think that it’s their way of working on the skin but it’s really unpleasant to wake up with pimple everyday. Hope it works great for you in winters.

    1. ohh yeah neutrogena naturals is the only skin care line which is my favorite for similar reasons more or less. I wish this does not give me break outs in winters coz I really like how it makes my skin matte yet soft supple. I so want to give it one more try!!

  2. Hmm I do agree, I don’t want much oil in the morning u know 🙂
though I am in the market for a new night cream or serum!

    1. yes neha waking up with oily face is like waking up halfheartedly for me 😛 My weirdo skin gives me privilege to change my skin care regimen every 3-4 months, plus the sudden temp fluctuations my skin care regime poorly fails to cope up with these two issues!!

  3. Neetu, I have exactly the same skin type. Extremely sensitive and combination skin type. The sensitivity prevents me from using any products and lack of moisturization makes my skin more oily. I am constantly on the look out for face care products that would suit me. You are right, there are some products which still work for me in winters but using the same in summers or monsoons results in break outs. Neutrogena sunblock in my HG but unfortunately, the other products I tried from this brand have not suited me. Try using the cream in winters.

    1. Ohh I hear u sunshine.. 🙁 we so crave for hydrating luscious creams yet not able to fully enjoy them naa. :'( Hope we get good skin care pdts to solve all our issues n concerns one time.. 🙂

  4. Oily/acne skin problems are too weird Neetu, I can understand…One dermatologist in India once advised me not use anything from neutrogena except their acne cleanser which is good..I never picked any neutrogena product since then..finding night creams for oily/acne skin that too from drugstore is a dream come true for me..still on a hunt

    1. True mini… Getting good skin care pdts in drugstore is dream come true which is rare. 🙂 even I haven’t liked any Neutrogena pets other than their makeup line n off course this Neutrogena naturals range.
