Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick – 650 Mulled Wine Review
Hi Lovely Ladies,
After reading so many red lipstick reviews in a single day, I am also excited and tempted to share my find in this shade with you all. Actually, I didn’t buy this lipstick. My maternal uncle had got it for my aunt from the US, but since she didn’t like this shade, I grabbed it wholeheartedly when she offered it to me. As it is, red is my favourite colour and I own a whole lot of dresses in the same shade, so I was happy when I got a matching lipstick. Without much blabbering, let me start with the review.

72 ( info from Revlon website, I don’t know how many are available in India).
Packaging/Price/Quantity:
It comes in a golden black lipstick case . The case though is regular, but seems to be classy and elegant. On the bottom, it has the number sticker pasted on it and on the upper part, it has a transparent cover to peep into the shade. The price is around 500 INR approximately and the quantity is 4.2 gms.
My Take on Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick – 650 Mulled Wine:
It is a beautiful brick red shade with brown undertones, the most subtle and warm red I have come across. Although, the name says wine, but it is more towards the reddish maroonish kind. It is a highly-pigmented lipistick, one glide and you have the full colour on your lips. Sometimes, I have to apply it with a light hand so that I don’t go overboard with this.
The application is very smooth. The staying power is around 4-5 hours with eating and munching included. When this lipstick starts to fade, it leaves behind a stain and fades evenly. Please look at the picture below to see what I am trying to say.
It has no shimmer whatsoever. It is neither glossy (shiny) nor matte. The texture would be somewhere in between but yes, it gives a nice sheen to the lips. The best part is the fragrance or rather I should say no fragrance, I don’t like my cosmetics to smell obnoxiously loud and this lipstick scores quite high on that front too. The lipstick is not very moisturizing; however, it does not make the lips dry too. It does not bleed or smudge, neither does it settle in fine lines.
To sum it up, I would just say, a superb red shade lipstick which would look good on all skin tones (fair to medium to dusky).

1. Beautiful brick red shade which is not at all over the top.
2. Elegant sleek packaging.
3. Does not make the lips dry.
4. Good staying power of around 4-5 hours.
5. Does not bleed and does not settle in fine lines.
6. The see-through top makes it easier to locate among other lipsticks.
7. Highly pigmented and fades evenly leaving a nice-coloured tint on the lips.
8. Revlon does not do animal testing.
Cons of Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick – 650 Mulled Wine:
Some people might find it expensive.
