I have rarely come across someone who is not a foodie. Everyone loves food and have got some or the other cravings. So, there is no way of saying that you are not a foodie. Then, in that case, weight loss is usually about controlling your cravings and that’s the most difficult part for each one of us.

So, here are some quick tips and tricks which will help you to lose weight, even if you are a foodie.

1. Maintain a Cheat Day:

This is something you should follow. You can’t keep on giving up on your cravings every day. So, the best way is to maintain a cheat day. On your cheat day, just consume your favourite food and then restrict yourself on all the other days.

2. Drink Water:

Don’t forget to drink two glasses of water before every meal. This will speed up your metabolism. And it will make you feel fuller much before than you will feel by only having food.

3. Don’t Eat After 6 PM:

Set an alarm at 5:30 PM and consume your dinner before 6 PM. The early you consume your dinner, the faster the food will get digested and then once you are all ready to sleep you will sleep with a lighter tummy.

4. Drink Lemon Water:

Make it a point to consume lemon water every morning. This will keep your cravings in control and it will flush out all the fats from your internal digestive system within no time.

5. Do Some Legwork:

A little leg work does not hurt anyone. So, concentrate on walking, jogging, running, climbing stairs and likewise.


6. Fruits and Smoothies:

We all love to have smoothies in the morning. But, smoothies are loaded with sugar and this will increase your appetite. Eat fruits in the morning and instead of desserts go for smoothies.

7. Maintain a Safe Distance From Carbs:

You need to be very particular about this. Carbohydrates should be avoided at any cost. Even if you love carbohydrates then have it on your cheat day.

8. Eat Proteins:

Concentrate on the protein contents the most. This is something which will give you the desired shape. Thus, keep looking for foods which will give you enough dose of proteins.


9. Avoid Sodas and Artificial Drinks:

Do you know that these sodas and artificial drinks are loaded with sugars. Thus, the best way to lose weight is to avoid them. Even if you love sodas just like I did, the best is to avoid them even on a cheat day. Just try avoiding and you will see a major difference in your body weight.

10. Eat Only Healthy Fats:

If you are a foodie then, you will be having a habit of eating very often. So, start eating healthy fats every now and then. You can keep on eating nuts, raisins and other healthy foods.

  1. I find it absurd when it is said that dinner should be had before 6 pm. I mean in today’s world ppl don’t even return home after office before 6pm. Meals r not even cooked by 6pm. Agree with all the pointsame except for this absurd idea of having dinner before 6pm. Even if a person sleeps by 12…one will be so hungry if one eats before 6pm.
