FabIndia Aloe Vera Under Eye Gel Review

FabIndia Aloe Vera under eye gel review – Effective.

I knew I needed an under eye gel badly, to deal with darkening circles from lack of proper sleep. More than half my area is under redevelopment and noisy polluted environment has disturbed sleep patterns and general peace of mind.

Fab India Aloe Vera Under Eye Gel

I spotted the “fabindia aloe vera under eye gel” and just couldn’t resist a trial (I love that fabindia keeps testers for all their products) on my hand. The gel just penetrated the skin so well and I knew then and there, I had found a long term skin-friend.

Priced at Rs 125 for 25ml, it did not seem expensive (because it’s worth the cost)

The claims – This unique formula contains aloe vera gel that reduces puffiness and revives tired looking eyes. Regular use helps reduce dark circles and prevents wrinkles.

  • Ingredients – Aloe Vera, glycerol, aqua.

Product details

  • Directions for use – Apply gently around eyes.
  • Availability – It’s easily available at all FabIndia stores. But unfortunately cannot be purchased online. The website does not even list the skin care products

So after a trial at the store and 4 weeks of daily usage, once after bath and before sleeping, here’s what I think of the Fabindia aloe vera under eye gel – it’s one of the most effective under eye gel.

It’s a crystal clear gel, as translucent as water till you touch it. A touch makes one realize its thickness of the gel. The no-fragrance product (though if you keep sniffing really hard and searching for a smell, you might get a very faint “Joker” gum type smell). While I generally don’t like jar packaging, this one comes in a ajar with 2 covers – one is the main lid and below the lid is a white cover so product doesn’t spill around.

Fab India Aloe Vera Under Eye Gel

The gel works well on the delicate under eye area. Just put it on before bed and within 2 minutes, you feel the skin below eyes tighten. I love its firming action.

Pros of the FabIndia Aloe Vera Under Eye Gel

  • It’s application feels nice & soothing.(Applying the gel is the last thing I do before bed )
  • I like the crystal- clear- water look of gel. It’s very easy on the eyes, unlike some gels which are slightly whitish or yellow and not transparent.
  • I like how it’s easily absorbed and makes the under eye area tight and firm
  • The product is effective because some of the darkness of my under eye skin reduced. Even puffiness decreased (I have used it for 4 weeks). I think consistent application of product would help prevent wrinkles because it tightens the skin real nice.
  • Just a little is enough.
  • Priced right .Not too expensive and yet effective.
  • No worry of breakouts or reactions on sensitive skin. Plus no big ingredient list. So I had great comfort when I purchased this product.
  • With a mfg date of Apr 2010 and expiry in Sept 2011, the product has 17 month lasting period. That seems pretty good.
  • The packaging with 2 covers helps prevent spilling, wastage or drying up easily.

Packging with 2 covers

  • IT’S GOT ALOE VERA. To say, I love aloe vera products is untrue. I am “aloe-vera obsessed” . But, even then, I have tried to remain as objective as possible through this review.

What I don’t like about Fabindia ALoe Vera Under Eye Gel

  • Per se, it doesn’t have a smell. But if you sniff really hard, then faint “gum-type smell” exists. It’s not offensive, but you may not like this aspect.
  • The product can be purchased only at the fabindia stores, cannot be purchased from other stores or even ordered online

Will I recommend the product or purchase it again? – Most definitely . I think this product totally rocks in its category, especially when I know that many other under eye products with tall claims are hogwash.

this review came at the right tym.. i was on a hunt for undereye creams ..wanted to buy it in a day or twoo..
now iv read fabindia gel ka review.. me will now look for more eyecreams and reviews and go buyyy :victory2: :victory2: :victory2: :victory2: :victory2: :victory2: :victory2:

  4. nice review but a bit late 🙁
i just bought myself a chandra eye contour gel (an Indian brand made for the Us market specially …tahts what the SA told me) few days back..it has rose, aloe vera, cucumber, brahmi&lily extracts in it..so far its working fine for me…but its much more pricey (50g for rs425) 😥 😥 😥

      1. i bought it from a store that sells beauty products in colaba…therz this famous hanuman mandir ..its in that lane..i dont know if health n glow and beauty center n beauty palace have it…i havent checked…

the ad for this brand has come a couple of times in magazines(either good housekeeping or prevention..not 2 sure which one)

        1. hahaha u go to beauty centre and beauty palace too….?!!!! i love that place.. super wholesale prices!! 😉 😉 😉

dunnno abt any hanuman mandir at colaba but will check..i go there often ..thankoo 🙂

          1. haha yeah i go to beauty palace & to beauty center …who doesnt want a discount after all?? 😛
u can ask any cabbie where hanuman mandir is they’ll know(opp theobroma and MOD ..think now its easier for u to find out 😛 )

              1. so do u buy bodyshop products also from beauty palace?they give a 20% discount …i dont understand how they do it cos now there are bodyshop stores all over mumbai..and its turns out to be cheaper than what TBS members pay(when there isnt a sale of course)

                1. actualy i dont have too many tbs products which iv bought from india,
my relatives always get them from abroad(skincare)
if iv bought from here i happnd to pick it up from TWINKLE at kemps corner(u know?) ..there also u get discount… but ofcourse its slightly lesser than beauty centre discounts.. since its kemps corner u know…

and beauty centre has only skincare of tbs , never realy seen their makeup.. so i end up buying their makeup tuff from tbs boutique itself

coming to the discount part… iv thought abt this too…
they have ways of importing…like saving duty and other costs.. 😛

                  1. yeah ive been to twinkle a couple of times..i didnt know they give discount tho…:S but its ok cos i dont go there anymore…

true beauty center n palace only have the skin care, shampoos and body products…no make up…(but have u noticed they have thebodyshop india price labels on them)

me 2 get most of my stuff from bodyshop Usa or Uk but sumtimes when i really want sumthing and if no one’s coming here or i’m not travelling that soon or if I cant wait to buy sumthing 😛 then i buy it from Mumbai…

                    1. hehe yeah.. twinkle does have discount on their skincare , not makeup…
becoz skin care is what they get to import..same goes with bueaty centre…

actualy hvnt bought body shop stuff from beauty centre no, so dunno bt the price labels thing ..

but dont tbs product from their boutique also are actualy imported only.. ?:) ?:) ?:) so i guess the lables are stuck before the products are dispatched…. wherever they end up going…

                    2. hmm maybe… yea buy products at discounted rates *giggles*
and they are genuine… so no complaints… 🙂

                      k..thnx..il check out the link

  5. Aroma magic is working wonders for me. I was planning to buy MAC concealer but postponed as this product is reducing my under eye circles visibly…

  6. this does not work for me 😐 😐 😐 😐 but i have not used it religiously for a longer period…so no affect…but i do like that it moisturizes the eye area well….and yes its pretty absorbant :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo:

  7. Pragna I but this gel every summers ..doesnt work for me at all but I love the cooling effect it gives in summers.. I like the cute jar it comes in. :))

        1. lol.. dattttyyyy uit leaves cottonny stuff in the jar!:P then you reuse it! yuckyyyyy:haanji::haanji::haanji::haanji::haanji::haanji::haanji::haanji::haanji::haanji::haanji: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot:

  8. I used this gel long back….I agree with the tightening effect but did nothing for my dark circles :((
glad it worked for u :-*

  9. I have fresh aloevera jar in the fridge 😀
Mom applies it on her face almost everyday.
You should also try that , i guess it’s by aroma
    Nice review
