CoverGirl Wetslicks Crystals Lip Gloss 450 Candy
Covergirl is a popular, favoured drugstore brand in the US. I have used a few products from this brand and they have not failed to impress me for the quality they offer at such fair prices. Their Lash Blast Mascara is one of my absolute favourite. I am reviewing here today a gloss from their Wetslicks Crystals range. These are shimmery glosses. They do have non-shimmery regular wetslicks glosses too.

Shades Available:
I have the shade 450 Candy Bonbon in this range. It’s a beautiful golden-ish, slight peachy-pink beige with loads of shimmer in it. On my lips, it comes out as a great nude gloss, perfect to match with heavy eye makeup/smokey eyes. Since the gloss is shimmery, I prefer it for evenings only. I can easily use it on top of all my lipsticks instead of a clear gloss too.

Packaging:
The gloss comes in a simple, no fuss, lightweight, see-through plastic tube with a pink plastic cap. It has an angled sponge tip wand which works well too; picks up enough gloss and is sturdy enough for easy application of the gloss on the lips.

Pigmentation and Texture:
Now, the shade candy bonbon in itself is a light, sheer one. I feel the gloss is decently pigmented. I need to apply about 2 swipes of the gloss for each time.
Texture wise, this is soft enough on the lips. The shimmer is fine too and not glittery gritty at all. It has yummy vanilla+candy like fragrance and taste which I like.

What I Don’t Like about CoverGirl Wetslicks Crystals Lip Gloss – 450 Candy:
- Like most glosses, the staying power is not that great, stays for about an hour or so after which I need to reapply.
- Non-availability in India.

Overall, I like this gloss and it’s a steal at the price, good value for money product.

@rati: apply glycerin and lemon as lotion and then remove it
OR
apply glycerin and then rub lemon with peel on lips
mix the two and apply with cotton. 😀
