Among a few every day makeup looks, this is one of my favourite. This is a day look and I barely need 5-7 minutes to do this.
During the day I mostly avoid using liquid foundation all over the face. You may use it , if you want. I suggest that you mix your liquid foundation with a little oil free moisturiser and then use. This will not only keep your skin hydrated but would also prevent any cakiness or masked look. I like to use a medium coverage concealer that completely matches my skin tone.
I have moisturised my face and applied sunscreen. I am just dotting the concealer on the areas that need some correction such as under the eyes, around the nose, around my mouth and on blemishes here and there on my face. Blend everything with your fingers.
Now pick some compact powder on a fluffy brush and go over all the areas that you have just concealed. This is just to make your concealer last all day long and set it.

On the T Zone – forehead, nose and chin
around the nose and over the blemishes that you just concealed.
Also, put some powder on your eye lids. If you need an eyeshadow base,use eyeshadow base first and then apply some powder. This will help control oil on your lids.
Now take a cream eyeshadow. I am using Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream. It is water proof, does not crease and lasts all day long. If you don’t have this, you may pick up Revlon cream eye shadows as well but for that that you must prep your eyes with an eyeshadow primer, apply powder and then use them.Or else they’d crease and fade away within few hours only.
Apply the cream eyeshadow all over the lid. Make sure that you especially apply it closer to your lash line because we won’t be using any liner here.
Blend with your finger and gently take it above the crease . Just make sure that there are no harsh lines.
Take some compact powder on afluffy brush and apply it just below your browbone area.
Take brown eyeshadow on an angled brush and fill in your eyebrows. You may also use a pencil but I just like the brown eyeshadow from Maybelline Chai Latte quad. It looks pretty natural for day time.
Apply kajal.
Curl lashes and apply mascara.
I like to use cream blush during the day for that dewy , natural look. You may check out ,my tutorial on How To Apply Cream Blush
Apply your favourite everyday lipstick.
And that’s it. you are done. 🙂
That’s the finished look.
For those who have oily skin may use a mattifier or primer all over the face. Also , you may apply a light wash of loose powder all over your face to finish up the look. Since I have dry skin I generally avoid the step. I always carry my compact kajal and lipstick for touch ups during the day. For girls with oily skin, oil blotting sheets work wonders.

This Aqua Cream less shimmery frosty compared to my Shiseido one..but that’s also probably cos it’s a more neutral colour..Shiseido has all these bright colours only..wish they also made some dark colours :((
Radhika you can use Revlon eye shadows also , all you would need to do is just prep your lids. You know maybelline has lunched cream eyeshadows in US, I wonder if we’ll ever get them here. :((

I never use lipliner – esp with lipsticks like Chanel or YSL..you don’t really need a liner…and the new lipsticks I told naa..those are kind of like sheerer and easier to apply like how glosses are…but I am like you..kind of feel happy happy with gloss the most :toothygrin:

Try it shyna. Juts follow the shape of your eye and keep blending. :)) It should look fades as you go towards your eyebrow. :))

Veda when i am travelling out a lot , I carry wet tissues with me. I wipe my face with tissue and reapply the stuff. It barely takes 5 minutes.
