So, I am back with another Faces product, this time with one of their ranges of lipsticks called the Minerals Lipcolor and the shade I would be reviewing for you all is Passion Rose.
Faces Mineral Lipcolor spreads evenly for a luminous, satin smooth finish. Its creamy formulation keeps the lips hydrated for a long time. Enriched with Vitamin E. Dermatologically tested.
399 INR for 4.2 g. I got it at 249 INR online.
My Take on Faces Minerals Lipcolor Passion Rose:
Faces Cosmetics is an internationally-acclaimed cosmetics brand from Canada. This is my first lipstick from this brand and I am impressed with the quality and texture this lipcolor offers. This is a moisturizing, pigmented lipstick with a high-satin finish.
The color may look a bright mauve from the bullet shade, but applies as a beautiful pinkish mauve, a very flattering shade. The shade is completely matte, devoid of any shimmer/glitter particles. It is a bright color with a nice glossy finish that will look pretty both in day and night.
The texture is quite creamy and glides on butter smooth on the lips. It’s quite moisturizing and does not require the need for you to apply a lip balm underneath. The lipcolor is quite pigmented and a single swipe adds a nice flush of shade on you. The satin finish provided by it eliminates the need for a lip gloss too. Bleeding of color or settling in the fine lines is not an issue at all.
The lipstick has a nice faint flowery scent associated with it which remains for some time after application.
The packaging consists of a thick matte plastic encasing that will not break easily by any negligent drop. I find the Faces logo on the cap very pretty. The bullet inside is also not prone to breakage simply by applying extra pressure. Overall, a simple yet sturdy packaging.
Staying power is good too. A single swipe stays on for 4 hours easily after which it leaves a strong tint that stays on for another 3 hours or more. The color stays vibrant till you eat anything. It has quite survived a full meal on me, but yes, the satin finish sorts of fades away after a meal. It is transferable too but less as compared to other brand lipsticks I own. Overall, I find the 6-7 hours of staying capacity quite good; one just needs to do a light touch-up after a full meal.
Good Points of Faces Minerals Lipcolor Passion Rose:
- Creamy, smooth texture.
- Good opaque color in a single swipe.
- Staying capacity of over 6 hours easily.
- Hydrating formulation, eliminates the need for a lip balm.
- The glossy, satin finish eliminates the need of applying a lip gloss too.
- Survives light snacks easily, but fades away to leave a strong tint after a full meal.
- Simple yet sturdy packaging.
- Passion Rose is a flattering and unique dark pinkish mauve shade.
- Color will not at all bleed or feather away, so you can avoid a lip liner too.
- Has a light texture that does not settle in fine lines.
Not-So-Good Points about Faces Minerals Lipcolor Passion Rose:
- Is transferrable.
- Limited shades available.
4/5 for the shade I own.
Do I Recommend/Will I Repurchase Faces Minerals Lipcolor #04 Passion Rose:
Yes, but for me, a different shade next time. I am head over heels in love with Faces Cosmetics right now, so in love with this color also and would recommend it to all who find it hard wearing a purple on their lips. This is a long staying, non – drying pretty pink mauve shade that will suit many.
