Living in a metropolis gives us a different standard of living as compared to rural areas, but may also cause many problems. The main one being the continuous exposure to dirt and pollution; this may clog pores and lead to breakouts. The best way to deal with this is to wash the face periodically, so as to, prevent this clogging.
Seeing as I have a combination skin washing my face with the right type of facewash, is integral. I have tried many facewashes, and this review deals with a product I purchased recently.
Jolen Facewash Gel made from the natural extracts of Rose, which nourish and revitalise the complexion to make the skin look fresh, soft and beautiful. It is best suited to remove dirt, oil and makeup from the face.
Directions for use:
Squeeze a small quantity on your palm and mix it with a little water. Massage gently over the face and neck in a circular motion. Rinse thoroughly with water. Apply twice daily as a facial cleanser.
Acrylates/C 10-20 Alkyl Acrylate Cross Polymer, Sodium Lauryl Ether Sultate, PEG-12 Dimeticone, Cocomido Propyl Betaine, Glycerine, Rose liquid extract.
It’s a standard transparent squeeze tube, through which you can see the pretty suspended pink and white exfoliation beads. You’ll know also how much of the facewash is left. Having a lid that closes with a satisfyingly loud snap, makes it travel friendly. But the actual opening is too wide and leads to product wastage.
My take on Jolen Facewash Gel:
It’s a mild facewash that does the job of a cleanser suitably well. It does get rid of most of the grime on one’s face after a day outside, but does not remove makeup. Seeing as it’s soap free, it doesn’t dry my skin out at all. It smells exactly like rose water and leaves behind a lingering a smell for a minute or two.
The exfoliation beads are a huge disappointment, they just disintegrate as soon as you rub them softly. The consistency of this facewash is decidedly runny, not at all gel-like, this leads to a tremendous wastage of product every time you open the tube.
Pros of Jolen Facewash Gel :
1. Mild soap free cleanser
2. Smells absolutely divine
3. Travel safe packaging
4.Suitable for all type of skin
Cons of Jolen Facewash Gel:
1. Presence of a huge amount of chemical cleansers
2. Does not remove makeup, as it claims to
3. Runny consistency, not at all “gel” like, leads to product wastage
4. Exfoliation beads disintegrate.
Will I repurchase Jolen Facewash Gel again?
Sure, it’s a very handy every day cleanser.
Will I recommend Jolen facewash gel to friends?
Yes! It’s suitably mild for all skin types.
