How are you all doing today? I am back again with another gorgeous shimmery product from L’Oreal Infallible. I see that the blogosphere is humming about how these L’Oreal Infallible eye shadows seem perfect dupes for Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill Eye Shadows. I am yet to own Armani shadows but I was lucky enough to try my hands on this eye shadow couple of times in the store and I am more than happy!

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow – Golden Sage:
The eye shadow comes in the usual mini, cute tub packaging with an additional safety lid and twist over cap which is quite travel friendly.
The shade “Golden Sage” appears a metallic finish soft green color with cooler undertones to me which is tad bit lighter than Golden Emerald (sans brownish black undertones as well). At first sight, you might get confused between the two shades, but upon closer look and swatching you can tell the difference as Golden sage appears bright shimmery soft muted green color unlike the intense forest green shade of Golden emerald. I see that this particular shade though comes up way muted and subtle on eyelids, it gives a perfect definition to my eye makeup alone.
It has a very nice powdery-creamy texture. Yes gals, I experience slight fall out with this shade, but it can be easily looked over as once it sets on well-primed lids, it stays on for good hours and won’t fade unlike other cheap shimmery eye shadows. I see that shimmers never look overboard in this shade and this texture is easy to apply with any sponge applicator or even brush. But it does have a tendency to look frosty at times with multiple layers; we can take care of it though.
It does take few layers to give buildable coverage on eyes as it is a soft shade of green. It easily blends with no harsh lines giving subtle defined eyes all the time. Moreover, it gives nice satin-textured finish to eyes without looking uneven or streaky at all. I see that a primer/base color is a must while using this shade because it’s a way softer shade to come up intensely, and secondly primer helps to maintain its non-creasing, long-lasting property with no fading or creasing along lines.
It stays for good 7+ hours on my oily eyelids without fading or flaking much. Moreover, even a novice can wear this shade with ease as I feel pretty compatible with this color even though I know I am not good at blending and contouring yet.
It does not have any significant fragrance.
I feel that if I had to ever make a choice between golden emerald and golden sage, then I would like to pick this golden sage for a soft shimmery look and for its forgiving finish which is much needed for beginners like me.
Let’s sum up pros and cons.
Pros of L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow – Golden Sage:
• A gorgeous shimmery, muted green shade suitable for every skin tone.
• It has the right proportion of shimmers to give intense green color pay off.
• The texture is again powdery-creamy to come up easily on well-primed eye lids with or without base color.
• It does not look patchy or flaky on eye lids.
• It gives perfect 7+ hours of wear time on my oily eyelids with no fading or transferring.
• Once settled in place, it never smudges or transfers unlike other cheap shimmery products.
• It does not budge with sweat or watery eyes to my surprise.
• It never irritates my sensitive eye area or waterline.
• Pretty affordable price for superquality and travel friendly product packing.
Cons of L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow – Golden Sage:
• Shimmers are not for everyone.
• It does tend to look frosty at times.
• It does need few strokes to give intense color pay off.
• It definitely needs a primer for long-lasting creasefree finish.
• Doesn’t stay for 24 hours even with a primer.
• I see fallout with this shade.

Would I Recommend L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24 HR Eye Shadow – Golden Sage?
I feel that other than its muted soft color, metallic finish and slight fallout issue, there is nothing which needs to be highlighted as I highly feel we all need such shades in our kit for a change from usual deep smoky eye looks. It complements my pale skin and brown eyes very well; needless to say it will complement variety of Indian skin tone and eye colors. At such affordable price, it is highly recommended.
