Hello my sweethearts,
How are my lovely ladies doing? It’s been quite a few weeks since I have taken time to write reviews; the reason being my fashion designing exams. 🙂 Taa-daa! now I am a fashion designer plus a management studies graduate. I feel so happy to be specialized in both the fields I loved. Did you all see the news? I was terrorized to see the news on Nepal earthquakes and literally had water-filled eyes! I just had one option, pray to God to secure their lives once again and give them all the possible strength to bare the losses of their loved ones.Anyways coming to today’s review, I picked up a body wash from Lux. I have never tried this brand before, but this had some interesting facts written on the bottle-“World class perfume”. Usually fragrances do not last once you step out of the washroom, but I was expecting something out of this one. Let’s see whether it lived up to my expectations or not!

My Experience With Lux Velvet Touch Moisturising Body Wash:
The lux vevet touch body wash is a newly launched product in the Indian market. Lux, being a household soap used for bathing, has kept the price of the body washes low, so that every lady can afford it. It has many variants and 2 sizes. The one I picked is a handy travel-size and has a press open cap. It comes in a yellowish gold bottle which looks very decent on your bathroom shelf.
The body wash comes in a liquid form which has a metallic sheen to it. The body wash has a nice silver white shine to it and looks luxurious 😀 It is pretty thick in consistency so gets layered on the skin very well. It creates a huge amount of lather when used with a loofah. Such thick body washes, prove to be really difficult to use alone, because they are so thick that they just stick to the skin on various parts and do not create enough lather; thus leaving the skin unclean.
Their fragrance is probably their USP. The claim “World class perfume” is totally true. It smells heavenly and luxurious. The body wash is extremely scented when using it and has a totally perfumed fragrance. There is no fruity or floral touch to it. It does not smell like a regular mild body wash; it was something better and different. The fragrance lingers around in the entire bathroom while taking bath. The fragrance does not stay after rinsing it up and that again, disappointed me.
Despite of having such a strong perfumed fragrance; it did not last. It left my skin clean and soft. Yes my skin did feel silky, but the effects were temporary. Later, I had to use to use a body lotion. It cleaned away all the impurities from my skin and left it fresh looking for the day.
But on the other side, the body wash was pretty ordinary and nothing extraordinary. It was like an ordinary body wash, but for the price at which it was offered, I would give it complete 5 stars. If you are on a budget and use body washes daily, then this is a good option to go with. I wouldn’t get it again because I am one of them who are never loyal to a single shower gels 😉
Pros Of Lux Velvet Touch Moisturising Body Wash:
• Easy on pockets and very handy.
• Convenient and sturdy packaging with a press open cap.
• Easily available in stores and online stores too.
• Comes in a variety of variants and sizes 2 choose from.
• The body wash is thick to rip all the dirt off and is very creamy.
• The fragrance is heavenly and I totally agree to the “world class perfume” tag; it does smell like an amazing perfume and not like a typical mild body wash.
• The perfume fragrance relaxes your senses and gives an enthusiastic feel.
• My skin looked clean and bright after use.
• My skin did feel silky but I had to apply a lotion later.
• Lathers up very well when used with a loofah and removes all the impurities from the skin.
Cons Of Lux Velvet Touch Moisturising Body Wash:
• As usual, the fragrance does not last on the skin once the body wash is rinsed.
• A pretty ordinary body wash like the other drugstore body washes.
Will I Repurchase/Recommend Lux Velvet Touch Moisturising Body Wash?
Yes, if you use a shower gel/body wash daily then this is very affordable and does the job well. But it isn’t for you if you like those fruity gels to pamper your skin.
IMBB Rating: 3.8/5
I like body washes with granules plus liquid; which smooths the skin and exfoliates it at the same time! If you want to clean your skin daily without efforts, look for such a combo in a body wash!
