MAC Lip Pencil Redd

MAC describes Redd lip pencil as clearly red.
Redd is an yellow/orangish toned red lipliner . It is a matte red lip-pencil that would work with most shades of red and even orange lipsticks. On its own I feel this is best for those with very strong yellow undertones. On my NC 35 skin tone I prefer to use it as a base for my red lipsticks than on its own. It kind of makes my complexion look a little sallow when I wear it as a lipcolor.
But texture wise it is excellent , just like rest of the MAC lip pencils. It is creamy but just creamy enough that would glide on your lips but wouldn’t move. It is completely opaque. It is a sharpenable pencil, which I like.It does not dry out the lips. It makes your lipstick last all day long. It also prevents the lipstick from smudging or smearing.
Overall it is quite a versatile red lip-pencil. It does not budge with the shades of your lipsticks – just gives a nice base and does its job well. Personally I would like to try more shades of red lip pencils but until then this just works excellent with all my red lip-colors.
