My Experience with Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow Magic Act:

I love Makeup Geek shadows for the most part and the “foiled” range from them is simply outstanding.

Packaging:  This eyeshadow comes in a pan which you have to pop into a magnetic palette. I do like the flexibility this provides for customizing a palette based on your needs, but this also means you have to shell out extra to buy the Z palette on top of buying the eyeshadow.

Texture and Blendability: I adore the texture of these Makeup Geek foiled shadows They feel almost like a cream to touch. They adhere well even onto bare lids, but you will obviously get better wear if you pair with a primer base. I found the best way to get the most payoff with these is using your fingertips. This particular shade also works packed on with a flat brush.

Shade:  “Magic Act” is described as a muted medium gold with a foiled finish. This shade does not have the bright reflective intensity as the other shades, it is a muted soft gold shade which still looks super pretty on the lids. It is such a versatile shade that you need not restrict this to just party wear.

Pigmentation: This eyeshadow being from the “foiled” collection, is intensely (and I mean “intense”) pigmented. It goes completely opaque in one layer.

Staying Power: Staying power is fantastic. I have worn this for 7-8 hours with barely any fading. It does crease a little 5-6 hours into wear especially on a hot humid day. To avoid this use a good primer and make sure to set it with some translucent powder to absorb all hint of oil on the lids.

Overall, I absolutely recommend this eyeshadow.

In the EOTD, I have “Magic Act” and “Legend” eyeshadows on the lid.
