So finally I am reviewing this, since I had been testing it out for you, I have acne prone oily skin and let me tell you I am not a fan of their BB cream, it made me look very “shiny”. This one on the contrary is just what oily skin needs!
The pack is really cute, it comes in a stick form and this will appeal to the young and younger women 😛 I personally have loved Colorbar stick concealers so I knew this will be good too, it also reminds me of the Lotus herbals Natural blend stick, but that is harder and not so light.
The shades available are just TWO! Yes, one in Fawn and another in Radiance! Fawn looked too dark in the store lighting and this one I knew is lighter too. The fawn has yellow undertones to it, this one is pink. It matched my wrist but not my face. I can use it if i set with a lighter powder.
The texture is very soft, in fact it looks like it is water-infused you know, when you glide it on, you feel some kidn of moisture release, but it sets like a matte powder finish. ideally oily skin could set it with powder, normal skin would use BB cream instead of this and normal skin rocks!
I tried it in the humid weather here, it blends very well, it blends to an invisible finish, if your shade is right, this one goes little white on me but I can see it blends seamlessly. The finish is matte for an hours, after which my skin starts to shine a bit, so oil control factor is average. it tends to crease settle under the eyes too if you don’t set it with powder and hence ideally,I could use a powder to set it with.
It makes for a great base under the eyes and as an eye shadow as well.I have tried using them as both, and i think I will buy fawn and set it with a lighter powder and use radiance as an under eye concealer.
Lets come to the coverage, I would say it is good for light blemishes, under eye circles, pores too, it gives a pore-less finish only till it lasts, like say 3 hours, after which it kind of vanishes. It would give great results when set with powder.it will not conceal acne scars or acne, so mild to moderate skin troubles can be hidden with this. So the coverage is medium.
Highlights:
- poreless matte finish
- super blend-able
- stays put for three hours
- hides mild blemishes and under eye circles
- great for all skin types
- salicylic acid
- buttery smooth
- affordable
- SPF 21
- feels very light
- considerably sweat resistant like they claim
There is something I noticed after removing this, my skin looked brighter and mattified, I remove it with Lakme remover, I am guessing this could be the salicylic acid or Mineral clay but I am very impressed with the after effect too. 😛 I feel this shade does not photograph well, I have tried it, I think I will buy Fawn very soon, though both shades are not for me, I might mix them and use.
I can see the price going up soon 😛 so we cant stock it now, it is a really good product for INR 250. I suggest we all buy and try this, this is not something you would like to miss. The 12 hr shine control is not true though, to let you know, in spite of all that, this is too good to miss.
IMBB Rating:
4.2/5
A good product with a great price point, but having two shades ONLY is like playing with our emotions 😛
