NYX professional faux whites eye brightener has amazingly pigmented 8 beautiful shades. These are pastel shades which are very white, yet distinct. I purchased two shades – “Mint Cream” and “Linen” from faux white eye brightener range. Also, I am planning to buy more as I am in love with them. Let’s get into the review to know more.

My Experience with NYX Faux Whites Eye Brightener – Mint Cream:
Packaging: NYX faux whites eye brightener comes in a regular sleek and sharpenable pencil type packaging. The pencil is white coloured with details written in black and has color-coded end. The color-coded end helps in picking up the desired shade without going thoroughly in the stash. The pencil itself bears all important information regarding the product. It has no outer cardboard packaging, but is sealed with cellophane to prevent it from tampering. This is sharpenable pencil, but there is no sharpener provided with it. Overall, the packaging is easy to work with and travel-friendly.
Shade: The shade “Mint Cream” is defined as seafoam. It is indeed a pretty, pastel seafoam tinted coloured eye brightener. Actually, I found these eye brighteners very white, but with a hint of exquisite pastel shades, which make them different from each other. Mint cream instantly brightens up the eye and makes it look wide awake. It works just like any other white eye liner, but does not look as stark as white. This is so bright that it literally makes the eyes pop. Apart from Mint Cream, there are 7 other shades; Linen (pastel peach), Lavender Blush (pastel lavender), Seashell (pale pink), Honeydew (pastel lime green), Baby Powder (pale blue), White Smoke (periwinkle) and Vanilla (pastel yellow).
Pigmentation: Mint Cream has a good color payoff. It provides opaque finish only after a couple of swipes. If you want less intensity, then only a few swipes are perfect. However, if you want to have more intensity, then the formula is buildable and you can have a couple of swipes more. One thing to remember, if swiped back and forth continuously, then it crumbles minimally. Hence, neat strokes are must to avoid crumbling over the lower lashes.
Texture: These are so creamy and glide effortlessly; I don’t have to drag for making a stroke. This super creamy eye brightener settles into pure satin matte finish within a few seconds. If you want to smudge it after applying on your lower lashline, then you have to do it in a couple of seconds otherwise, it does not budge. I love using Maybelline gel eyeliners, but they make my eyes watery if applied too close to the waterline. However, the formula of these eye brighteners does not make the eye watery and that’s why I love these so much. The only problem with mint cream is that it crumbles minimally if applied with pressure.
Staying Power: The staying power of these eye brighteners is insane. Once it is set into a matte finish, it becomes water-resistant and smudge-proof. It stays intact on my waterline all day long without any smudging. And, at the end of the day, I have to remove it using a waterproof makeup remover.
