ORIFLAME SENSORIA BODY CREAM
Among the whole lot of perfumed body creams that Oriflame has in its catalogue, I chose Sensoria Body Cream, which supposedly has the same scent as that of the eau de toilette. Also, since these body creams have exactly the same scent as the perfumes, you can make a choice of which perfume you want by first trying out the body creams (err…if that makes any sense).
WHAT THE CATALOGUE SAYS ABOUT SENSORIA BODY CREAM: Luscious body cream with Sensoria fragrance nourishes, leaving skin deeply hydrated. Light, non-greasy formula and easy to apply. With longer-lasting scent.
PRICE: Rs. 298 (original price 449).
MY TAKE ON SENSORIA BODY CREAM:
I had wanted to try the scented body creams from Oriflame for a long time and have been watching for them to fall down from their original pricing of Rs. 449. Last month, the Amber body cream was on discount, but it was out of stock. So, this time, when three body creams were on discount (Divine, Sensoria, and Giordani Gold), I decided to go for Sensoria because it sounded “interesting.”
When I opened the roly-poly round tub of body cream (which I am not going to throw away after it finishes), there was this fluffy, lightweight, shaving-cream like smelling cream, which gets easily absorbed into the skin without leaving any kind of oiliness behind, but at the same time, it does smoothen the skin and erase out the dryness, but I somehow feel that the moisturization will not be enough in winter months of November and December. This is a body cream, which is going to last me for the whole lot of summer months that we have ahead when I put my staple Vaseline body cream for rest. Comparing it with Vaseline Body lotion, though Sensoria is lightweight and does not leave any sheen behind, I would any day prefer Vaseline in winters.
Also, I had thought Sensoria would be like some feminine kind of scent, but it is not; whenever, I use it, “I feel masculine.” It strongly reminds me of some Old Spice shaving cream or aftershave. Although, it is supposed to be a fragrant body cream, the fragrance does not last for more than a few minutes.
WHAT I LIKE ABOUT SENSORIA BODY CREAM:
- The fluffy texture of the body cream.
- Gets easily absorbed into the skin without leaving any kind of sheen.
- No traces of dryness or stretchy skin.
- Only a little quantity is required and the pot is huge, which means, this is going to last me for a few months.
WHAT I DISLIKE ABOUT SENSORIA BODY CREAM:
- The very perfume for which I bought the body cream does not click with me. It is very masculine and reminds of me shaving cream/aftershave.
- The moisturization may not be adequate for the severe winter months of November and December, you will have to depend on your usual body lotions to save your skin.
- Price is a bit high at 449 if you were to purchase it without discount.
WILL I REPURCHASE ORIFLAME SENSORIA BODY CREAM:
Hmmmm…..no since the perfume/scent didn’t click with me at all, I want to smell feminine and not masculine.
IMBB STAR RATING: :-* :-* + 0.5 ……..-2.5 entirely for the wrong scent.
