Purederm Skin Brightening Natural Pearl Mask Review

Purederm Skin Brightening Natural Pearl Mask Review

Hi All,

I am back with another review and as usual, another face mask review. I have already reviewed a product by Purederm which I purchased through the Forever 21 website. Since Australia does not have Forever 21, I have purchased twice from Forever 21, USA.  It was mostly clothes and accessories and very few masks. Even though the quality is not very good for clothes and accessories, I feel Forever 21 is good for fast fashion, that is if you want to update your look each season with the in-season fashion.

Back to the face masks, I saw the Purederm masks on the website and wanted to try a couple out. I checked out reviews and even though I couldn’t find any raving reviews, it seemed worth trying. I had tried a Shahnaz Husain Pearl Facial previously and was impressed by the brightening effects of pearl.

Purederm Skin Brightening Natural Pearl Mask Review

Since it is the beginning of summer, my skin has come back to its original state and colour, but I was keen to make it brighter using the pearl extracts in this mask and moisturised because of the vitamin E contained in this mask.

My Experience with Purederm Skin Brightening Natural Pearl Mask:

I really like the shape of the sachet and the packaging.  It is cute and attractive but not over the top.  The product is off-white in colour with tiny beads and is of cream-like consistency.  This is also heavily fragranced with a floral fragrance which did not smell natural.  This smelt like Indian/Asian lotions, quite similar fragrance to drugstore creams. Since the product was cream like, it was really easy to apply.

One sachet contained ample amount of product, so it could be used at least twice on the face and neck.  After leaving it on for the required time, I scrubbed my face gently before washing it off (that is the purpose for the beads I guess!).  After washing off, my face looked a teeny bit brighter, nothing much.  However, it looked very well moisturised and calm with the signs of winter playing havoc on my skin missing.  I used this mask just before bed and even the next day my face looked smoother, moisturised, rejuvenated and well rested; however, not significantly lighter.  This might be because it is not summer now and I am not heavily tanned anyway.  I might have seen more of a visible difference if I had used it during summers.  However, since I am not really into “brightening/lightening,” I was not disappointed in this regard, but impressed with the other aspects.

Pearl Mask

Pros of Purederm Skin Brightening Natural Pearl Mask:

  • Contains pearl extract and vitamin E to brighten and rejuvenate skin.
  • Price is affordable and cheaper compared to other face mask sachets (MJ/Freeman).
  • The fragrance is pleasant, even though it does not smell natural.
  • One sachet can be used twice if stored properly.
  • Moisturises skin, so it is beneficial for use during winter.

Cons of Purederm Skin Brightening Natural Pearl Mask:

  • I did not notice any visible brightening effects as claimed.
  • Contains parabens.
  • Pores did not look minimised as promised.
  • Might not be available easily in all countries.

IMBB Rating:

Overall, this is quite a decent mask; however, I’m not overly impressed as to repurchase this.
