Last month I saw the picture of a model who was wearing a very interesting glossy and shiny eye makeup look. Since I do not have glossy makeup products, I could not recreate it and it left me sad. But the other day, I picked up my pink lip gloss and created this look, and it turned out well. Since that day I wanted to created this look for IMBB. Obviously it might feel a little heavy on the eyes since it’s summers but it is so trendy that you’d want to break all rules. This look involves a simple purple glossy eye look with a neutral touch on the face. Here, I am going to share all the rules and steps you need to follow to recreate this look. So let’s get into the tutorial.
For this look I wanted to keep my face makeup natural, so I used a silicon-based face primer which helps control oil. After that, I applied a stick foundation and dabbed it with a sponge. It provided a nice, natural-looking sheer coverage. Next, I concealed my under eye area and blended with that same sponge. To set my base makeup, I used a matte compact powder. Now, I lightly contoured my cheeks, nose and jawline with a natural brown contour powder. I also applied a pinky blusher on cheeks. This way, I kept my makeup natural and fresh. I blended everything with a blending brush, and to complete this look, I applied some highlighter on the highest parts of my face. After that, I spritz some face mist and dabbed my makeup to set it for long.
For this look, I did my eyebrows first by filling them in with a brow pencil. Next, I applied a primer as it helps to make a strong base. After that, I drew a thick messy line with a purple liner pencil. I blended this line with my finger and created a smudged eye look.
After that, to make this look a little deeper, I again applied that same purple liner on the lid. Now, I used a smudging brush to blend the product. For that smooth finish, keep blending until you get that smooth finish. Then, let it set completely.
Next, I applied the same purple liner on my lower lash line too and smudged that line to make it appear natural.
Once the liner set into a nice, smudge proof texture, I used a thick gloss to create this glossy effect. Here, I used a lip gloss and dabbed that gloss with my finger over that eyeliner.
Next I covered my eyelid as well as the corners with this gloss. I also applied it under my eyebrows and created a nicely highlighted look.
Next, to complete this look, I curled my lashes and applied a volumising mascara on my both upper and lower lashes.
Since I wanted a fresh look, I applied a pinky nude lipstick.
Here is my final look. This is definitely a different eye makeup look but it looks so pretty on the eyes. One more suggestion, keep your hair up so that it won’t get messy because of the gloss. Hope you liked this tutorial and would try it. 🙂
