My Experience with Scholl Velvet Smooth Electronic Nail Care System:

I have been a little obsessed with nail care recently. I have bought a whole range of nail care products and along with that I also purchased the Scholl Electronic Nail Care System. I wanted this product for a long time and, with the sponsor scheme, I got the apt reason to pick this up. The nail care system comes in a sealed packaging. The package consists of an electric file, 3 heads, nourishment oil and batteries. The packaging is very tight. It was a real struggle to open it and I used a knife to cut open. The electric nail filer is blue and curvy.

The design makes it easier to hold. There are two colours blue and pink. I picked up the blue one as it looked nicer. The electronic filer houses one AA battery at the bottom. The closing cap is not screw-on; instead, it has dots and a lock mechanism. The cap is white translucent and is tight. The file has a notch with sliding mechanism for switching off and on, and it has two speeds settings. The metal holder hosts the 3 heads. The heads move up and down in rapid motions and thus help to file the nails. The heads can be inserted easily. The heads are present in a sealed package. There are 3 insertions:

Insertion/Head 1: This head is used for filing/shaping the nails. The head is coarse and blue in colour. The file has to be moved in one direction and depending on the way you move you can achieve the perfect shape. You can shape your files in any desired shape. However, the shaping takes a lot of practice. When I started, I filed my nails a lot more than expected. The head is good and it easily files the nail. The head is good for short nails but for longer ones it kind of feels off and shaky. But, with practice, there isn’t any issue. After filing, you need to clean the head a bit as it gets the nail dust. The head can be replaced when it goes smooth.

Insertion/ Head 2: This head is not coarse and not very smooth either. The head is teal in colour. This one is used to smoothen the nails. If there are any ridges then it smoothens out the nail surface. The head buffs the nail surface. However, there is a little nail dust that gets scraped off. I have issues with nail peeling and this buffs away the ridges and peels, thus making my nails smoother. The peels go away and when the nails grow back there are no peels. As it files away the nail surface, it is not recommended to use this head often – maybe once or twice a month and not more than that.

Insertion/Head3: This head is white in colour and is smooth. This is used to make the nails shine. The effects from this are absolutely great! The nails get so much shinier and smoother. There is a natural shine on the nails and the effects stay on for a long time. The head gives an effect of a shiny top coat and I love this head a lot!

After the nail care, you have to follow up with the nail oil which is provided along with the kit. The nail oil has a combination of different oils that can improve the quality of the nails. The smell of the nail oil is wonderful. However, the nail oil is quite costly (around €8) thus I do not want to use it often and use the other nail serum more. I initially thought that this product would do the same work like the nail buffers available, but it does more than that and I am happy that I picked this product!
