First of all, my warm thanks to all of you for your generous and encouraging words on my DIY. It has certainly motivated me to share more and more stuff. Anyway, today I am here to share my latest obsession – lighter lip shades. Off late, I have realized that lighter shades do make us look youthful and young irrespective of skin tone and age, hence I am all set to rock pinks and lighter shades in my life now! The one I picked today is a tiny yet cute lip pencil from Sephora nano lip liner range – pure pinky – a frosty yet wearable pink for pale/medium skin tones. So, please read on further to know more about Sephora Nano lip Liner in Pure Pinky.

An amazing range of highly pigmented lip pencils with formulas that assure extreme glide and comfort.
This pencil comes with a safety cap, but no sharpener. It was really tough for me to get a sharpener for such a small pencil. It is fragrance free, user friendly and travel friendly packaging.
My Experience with Sephora Collection Nano Lip Liner – Pure Pinky:
Pure Pinky is a pale pink shade that tends to be natural pink on my lips. It does have teeny tiny glitter, but that doesn’t make the color frosty on my lips. In fact, it helps in making my lips vibrant and does not wash my complexion. It also pairs well with my n*de pink shades of loreal lipsticks and lip glosses. Thankfully it does not wash me out and hence I believe it will work on most Indian skin tones including fair/light/medium. It makes perfect n*de base for my lip products.
I also like the fact that even if it is not hydrating, it does not dry out my lips either! The texture of liner is smooth and easily lines and fills in without settling into lip crevices or dry areas. However, I also take extra care to scrub and clean my lips prior to using any lip products. To my surprise, the lip liner is pretty intense even though it’s a lighter shade. It gives me sheer to medium coverage in 1-2 swipes and I believe it will work great for pigmented lips as well depending on the intensity of pigmentation. It also stays for a good 3-4 hours without drying out my lips and/or settling in fine lines.
It does leave a few shimmer, which gets easily removed and vanishes after the first heavy meal. It won’t survive heavy meals other than light snacks or water/tea break. Overall, I feel for 5 dollars, it is very good and a must-have product for every gal who is a beginner in this field. I would love to own more shades from this range out of my interest to work on lining and defining lips other than using lip colors.
My only concern is that I could not find any good sharpener to get pointed tip other than stationary sharpeners which often lead to wastage and I fear they might eat up my teeny cute baby soon 😛 I wholeheartedly recommend this pink shade and liner to every gal. It is definitely a keeper for price, quality and shade it delivers on the lips.
Let’s sum up pros and cons:
Pros of Sephora Collection Nano Lip Liner – Pure Pinky:
- Cute small lip liner and a gorgeous frosty pink shade which is pretty wearable even with tons of glitter.
- It is extremely soft and light on my lips.
- I can line and fill my lips without any tugging or pulling.
- Does not dry out or irritate my sensitive lips.
- Stays on for a good 3-4 hours on my lips with light snacks and water/tea breaks.
- Goes well with a majority of n*de pinks lip colors and glosses.
- Will work well on most fair/light/medium Indian skin tones.
- Intensely pigmented, hence suitable for even pigmented lips.
- A completely user friendly, hygienic and travel-friendly stuff with zero fragrance.
Cons of Sephora Collection Nano Lip Liner – Pure Pinky:
- I fear it will finish off within a week if I use it regularly as the tip starts to disappear after one usage.
- It’s a tough task to find the perfect sharpener for such a small pencil.
Well, the good part is that we all bother about our makeup products staying till eternity even after several uses which totally kills the excitement of owning them, hence these cute babies will always excite us for we know they won’t last longer 😛 Moreover, we get a fair chance to try new launches in the market as well as without bothering about finishing the existing ones, isn’t it? For me, this pencil is worth the money and I like the idea where I get to try new stuff without taking care of former ones.
I would like to give it 4.8/5!
