Shimmery Copper and Purple Eye Makeup Tutorial
Hello Pretties,
Hope you all are doing fine. Today, I am back with another tutorial. I have always felt that grey and purple are two shades which are understated in terms of eye makeup. They can do wonders when applied in the right amount and effort. Today, we will be doing a shimmery eye look, which is not my comfort zone. I am more towards neutrals, but I had to do this as I loved the effect, when I tried it on myself.
1. Let us start off with the few things that are required for the look:
• Concealer – Colorbar stick concealer.
• Loose powder- Lakme rose powder.
• Copper color eyeshadow – Essence
• Purple eyeshadow- Revlon palette.
• Black loose kohl – L’Oreal.
• Eyeshadow brush – TBS.
• Slanted brush-TBS
• Eye lash curler- Vega.
• Mascara- Clinique High Impact.
Step-By-Step Tutorial:
Start with moisturized eyes.
Dot concealer on the lids up to the brow bone.
Set with loose powder.
Dab some loose powder on the cheek bone to avoid fall-out. Pat on some copper eyeshadow all over the lid area, need not go beyond the crease area.
With an eye shadow applicator, define the outer V and the crease with purple eye shadow. We are taking the purple shadow all the way in and going slightly beyond the crease line so that the pop of purple is visible when you open your eyes.
Apply some pale highlighter on the brow bone area.
Take some purple in a slanted brush and define the outer half of the lower lash line. With the copper shadow trace the inner half.
Now, take some loose kohl on a slanted brush and define the upper lash line. We are using loose kohl to keep the black understated. Whatever is left on the brush, push in on the outer corner of the lower lid.
Curl lashes and apply lots of mascara. That will give the illusion of bigger opened-up eyes.
I have paired this look with understated lips (MAC Impressive) and mauve/pink blush (Lotus Purestay in Strawberry). Let your eyes do the talking!
