Price: £36/- for 3g
Product Description:
This trio is a versatile ensemble of silky and highly pigmented eye shadows. Inspired by shiseido makeup artistic director Dick Page’s travels around the globe, the trio palette offers alluring combinations and intriguing variety. The true, intense colours blend smoothly to create your perfectly individual eye look.
Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio is packaged in a self-mirrored black coloured compact, which comes packaged in a classic red coloured cardboard box. A mini-sized, two sided sponge applicator and a brush have been provided for on the go use. The packaging is indeed simple but elegant and travel-friendly.

My Experience with Shiseido BR209 Voyage Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio:

I was gifted a mini set of Shiseido Luminizing Satin Eye Color Trio in a different shade. I liked the set so much that I ended up I picking Voyage BR209. This variant offers three shimmery shades. Voyage consists of three shimmery shades: champagne, golden bronze, and mocha brown. The shimmer is very subtle and mild, hence does not feel gritty. This trio gives a lovely definition to my eyes and adds a warm glow to my eyes during winters.

These shades give a sheer finish and can be used during daytime for a sheer look or in the evenings with a full coverage. These shades are buildable and offer desired effect from sheer to full coverage. I personally prefer wearing these shades during the daytime with a sheer to medium coverage. The formula is silky smooth and satiny and does not feel gritty or rough. These shades allow smooth application, do not crease or fall out much. All three shades are blendable as well. The golden bronze shade tends to fall a bit, however, the other two shades (champagne and mocha brown) have no fall out issues.

The lasting power is extremely good; I have worn these shadows for almost more than eight hours. An eye primer can be applied on the eyes prior to using these shades, but that’s not necessary. These three shades can be used to create a subtle smoky eye look or individually, as desired. I use champagne as a base shade all over my eye contour area and then I use mocha bronze to define the crease and golden brown on my upper eyelids and below my lower lashes. Champagne is a lovely highlighter shade that can be used under the brows and also on the inner corners of the eyes. Golden bronze, when applied below the lower lashes and inner corner of the eyes, gives a beautiful subtle glow. Mocha brown helps to define the crease, gives a smoky effect and also works well as an eyeliner whether used wet or dry.

I prefer using my Jane Iredale eye brushes to apply these shades. The applicators provided along with the compact are not very useful. But those can be used for on the go touch-ups, if required. However, in my case, I have not felt the need to touch up these shades and faced no issues with these shades. Again, it’s winter time and my eyelids do not get oily or sweaty. So, I am unable to comment on that point. These shades do not cause any burning or irritation to my sensitive eyes and skin. The price is a bit high; however, it is justified because this is a branded product and there are three shimmery shades.
