My Experience with Wet n Wild Color Icon Brow Pencil Brunettes Do It Better:
This brow pencil comes in a white and brown wooden form. On one side it has the pointed pencil tip while the other side has the spoolie. This pencil needs to be sharpened but you do not get any sharpener with it, which creates a little trouble. Both sides have a basic clear cap each that keeps them protected. Overall, it’s a nice, travel-friendly packaging.
I picked up the shade Brunettes Do It Better, which is actually a nice dark brown shade. It provides the right amount of deep color to the brows. This shade is so well-pigmented that it requires only a few strokes. But, at the same point, wrong application might make the brows appear unnatural. I think it is a bit over-pigmented for an eyebrow pencil. I need to use a very light hand while applying the product as I prefer a natural look.
This pencil has a soft waxy texture that glides easily without any effort. The formula works nicely and gives a smooth and even look to the brows. Also, the spoolie blends the product smoothly and provides me fuller, thicker and bold brows. This pencil defines the brows well and gives them a deeper look, but once I use the brush to blend the product, they lose their shape a bit.
Hence, I have to be careful during application. Also, the formula makes eyebrows look a bit flat – a look I personally don’t prefer a lot. It is good to keep brow hairs in place for long, though. It actually gives a nice, well-groomed look to my brows provided the application is perfect.
This formula doesn’t smudge or transfer on its own. It never looks messy either. But it’s not 100% smudgeproof. So if I rub my brow it looks a bit messy. Overall, it lasts long, especially since the weather is cold right now and my skin is in a good condition. I am not sure how it will behave during summers but it’s performing well right now. It is definitely a good buy for the price.
