Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick-Coffee Bean
Hi all my lovelies!
I am back after my long vacation and I really missed IMBB . But now that I am back ,you can expect a long list of eye makeup tutorials and DIYs coming your way. I spent both my Christmas and New Year midst joyous celebrations of my cousin’s wedding. A wedding is, as you all know, a time to get dressed up. I was with a lot of my female cousins and so you can understand the amount of “makeup stuff exchange” took place in these few days. So through this “maha” exchange, I laid my hands on a Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick. Read on to see how it fared my test.
Price:
Rs. 550
Packaging:
Classic black packaging with golden band in the middle and “Revlon” written across it.
Shade:
300 Coffee Bean
Texture :
The lipstick belongs to the pearl family which means although the color is opaque it would add sheen to your lips unlike matte lip colors. This sheen is a bit more compared to lipsticks belonging to the creamy family. It is moisturizing but doesn’t settle into fine lines. You can use it without using a lip balm.
Color:
The color is an orange-y brown with a hint of bronz-y sheen to it. The sheen disappears if you blot the lipstick after few minutes of application. I am really fond of this color as a light swipe of this can brighten up your face for the day and two swipes makes it a perfect party wear. It is also a great choice for those who want to add an orange lippy to their stash but do not dare to go for the true orange for the first time. Check the wrist swatches here.
Age group who can flaunt this color:
I believe girls who are above 22 at least should try this color. For the pretty ones below this age, there are a lot more corals and glossy pinks for you to experiment now, so I would suggest skip this one for later.
Complexion:
This is where the lippy won my heart. It looks pretty on every complexion. It is a must-have shade.
Pigmentation and staying power:
The pigmentation is totally awesome and the color stayed on my lips for 4 and half hours with a full-course meal in between. It did fade a bit but even then it faded so uniformly that it still looked pretty.
Availability:
This range is widely available.
Finally, here are the lip swatches. I took them in different lighting.
As for the pros and cons, I tried but could not find any flaw with this beauty. And if you have read the review carefully, you will see it is full of “pros”.
I have added two pics of me and some of my cousins too. I had a gala time at the wedding and really wanted to share some pics with my IMBB friends. I wore a red Pashmina banarasi saree for the wedding.
Actually the saree is more than 25 years old and it is my aunt’s wedding saree. I borrowed it from her that day 😛 Hope you like it. See you with the next review soon 😀 Love you all!
