10 Best Treatments for Face Rash

Today, I am back with a post on “Best treatments for face rash”. A rash is a common problem faced by people who have sensitive skin and it usually resolves on its own. However, if your rash is giving you a nightmare, stay tuned!

1. Start with an Ice Pack:

If you have a red and itchy rash, then you will need to bring down the redness and itch first. To tackle redness, make an ice pack and massage it onto your skin for 10-15 minutes. The coolness of ice will help in fighting the warm and burning sensation on your rash and also bring the redness down.

2. Make an Oatmeal Pack:

Oatmeal is a humectant, which means that it nourishes your skin, fights inflammation and helps in absolving the rash. To reap oatmeal’s benefits, mix it with some warm water and let it soak for half an hour. After some time, seep the excess water out and make a thick paste of soaked oatmeal and apply directly on the affected areas.

3. Sprinkle some Baking Soda:

Being basic in nature, baking soda helps in fighting against skin rash and allergies. Mix some of the baking soda with water and store it in a spray bottle. Use this spray bottle to spray some soda on your face throughout the day for optimal results.

4. Have a Lacto Calamine Handy:

Many women swear by Lacto Calamine and rightly so! This wonder lotion helps in preventing and treating skin rash like nobody’s business. It also has anti-itching properties which tackle itching rashes and provides a cooling feeling to your face.

5. Always Moisturize:

Skin rashes form mostly in dry and cold weather. To keep rashes at bay in such weather, make moisturizing a habit. Always moisturize your skin the moment you step out of the shower to lock all the moisture in your skin. If needed, moisturize your skin multiple times a day.

Lavender essential oil is mild, soothing and has anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. Not only will applying this give you a soothing and calming effect, but it will also fight with any bacteria and fungi which might be trying to worsen your skin rash.

7. Hydrocortisone Cream:

Hydrocortisone cream is available over the counter in most of the medical shops and works like a charm to keep the itchiness at bay. Alternatively, you can also use a Benadryl to help relieve face rash from catching an allergic reaction which might worsen your condition.

Apple cider vinegar is antiseptic and anti-bacterial in nature, making it a one-stop solution for all your skin rash problems. Apply it directly on the affected areas with a cotton ball or mix some with water and freeze it into ice cubes to make an anti-septic ice pack.

9. Raise the Humidity Around You:

Using a humidifier to raise the humidity of the room in which you sleep as it will help in keeping the dryness from your skin at bay, while you get your beauty sleep and will work especially well for people who have an extremely dry skin. Apart from that, sleeping with a humidifier on also fights the signs of aging and makes you look young and youthful.

10. Massage some Aloe Vera Juice:

Aloe Vera contains a strong anti-inflammatory component called B-sitosterol, Vitamin E and antifungal and anti-bacterial components which soothe and calm your skin and provide it elasticity. Aloe Vera helps in reducing the redness, inflammation, itch, and discomfort. The best way to use it for treating rash is by directly applying its gel on the affected area. However, if you do not have access to fresh aloe vera gel, you can also use aloe vera skin care gels/juices available in the market.
