Dabur Amla Hair Oil Review

Hello all, this is my first article for IMBB- a short review on good old Dabur amla hair oil.

Dabur Amla Hair Oil

I was totally attached to coconut hair oil until I relocated to Bangalore 6 months ago. As a common effect of pollution and dust in this city, my hair and scalp became dry and every single hair ended with a split. I always loved to use products with herbal ingredients and just tried Dabur amla hair oil hoping for best results.

• Enriches hair, making them strong from inside and beautiful outside.
• Lasts all day long.

Second

My Experience with Dabur Amla Hair Oil:

Dabur amla hair oil comes in a HDPE bottle with a screw knob. It is dark in colour with a green tinge. This oil is watery and non sticky with ayurvedic fragrance. I apply Dabur amla oil to my hair roots once in 3 days, leave it overnight and shampoo next morning. This oil really has herbal ingredients in it and it is more like ayurvedic oil. Just one wash with the shampoo leaves behind black, shiny and soft hair.

I have been using this hair oil for the past few months. I found my hair growing long with reduced split ends, but I found its ayurvedic smell too strong and my hair smelled of it even after washing with a shampoo. This product gave me good results and it is very effective for hair growth.

Pros of Dabur Amla Hair Oil:

• Easy to handle with a leakage-free bottle.
• Oil is non sticky.
• Results in black, soft, and shiny hair.
• It is a natural hair oil without any chemical ingredients.

Cons of Dabur Amla Hair Oil:

• It would be nice if the bottle had a small hole for opening so that oil could come out drop by drop.
• Strong smelling hair oil.

Rating: 4/5.

Will I Repurchase: I will continue using this hair oil for best results 🙂

  1. i thought of buying this product the other day,but ended up buying aromamagic hair oil..i combined it wd bajaj almond drops…and the results r ok types till now.is amla good for my dr.frizzy n curly hair?? :sidefrown: ?:) … thnx fr the review :thanks:

  2. i use to use it long ago..i quite liked it.. it makes the hair veryyy dark though 😛 which wud b a pro for few.. but i end up looking pale in dark hair 😛
i agree, thesmell is wayyy to strong

  3. Even I got it few days back and used it couple of times. My 6-year old daughter crinkles her nose at the smell and asks me what I have applied to my hair. The whole room smells of the oil. But I want dark, long hair – so got to bear the smell. :worship:
Let me go oil my hair right away 😉

  4. i use this one and like it very much. I like oiling my hair atleast once a week to kep it healthy and I have many different ones – amla, coconur, castor oil, almond, olive..i usually warm it slightly before I use it.

  5. i have this oil. just used for 3-4 times. somehow the smell discouraged me to use this. but after reading ur review, feel like re-using this. i am looking for agood shampoo for dry this. what do u use

  6. this is my HG hair oil:) been using since childhood and nvr felt the need to replace it…yup bangalore does make ur hair quality poor:( got to agree wid u on dat..

  7. Funny thing I will share with you guys on my thoughts and what I have noticed with this oil. I myself haven’t used this one yet but I have noticed as a little kid that my tuition teacher used to oil her hair with this oil while “tutoring” us in her house XD. I’v seen loads of other Indian women use this. Its really famous with the African American people and white people in the U.S and other countries. You just try searching it in youtube and 99% of the youtubers are non Indian reviewing this product. Most people don’t even know how to use this product exactly over there haha. The “Indian” stores in the U.S sells it for 5$ to 10$ for that kind of size of this product there. Makes me laugh that I feel like I also want to give it a try in the end XD.

  8. my dad hs been using this oil from past 30 years and now he is turning 54 n he has not even a single white hair and other problems like hairloss is just out of question….
i have been using the body shop beautifying oil in satsuma but that didnt satisfy me as much as dabur amla…

  9. Dabur Amla does help in darkening your hair and hiding your grays effectively. I have seen my hair become darker. I haven’t seen any changes in my hair length or scalp conditions though.I just wished it was free of mineral oil.
