Etude House DIY Moistfull Collagen Facial Toner Review

Hi IMBBians,

This article is a review of a moisturizing, collagen toner by Etude House. It has a very unique consistency. It is thick and viscous unlike the usual toners which have a watery consistency. I put my toner to “ten step Korean skin care routine” test and if I notice any change in my skin texture, only then I deem it worthy of my money otherwise, it is an accessory that can be avoided.

Product Description:
The small particles of the super collagen water and Baobab water in the Moistfull Collagen Facial Toner, endlessly provide moisture and leave your skin feeling very hydrated. Like jelly, the water droplets are soft to the skin yet firm in absorption. It gives the skin a bouncy jelly feel.

My Experience with Etude House DIY Moistfull Collagen Facial Toner:

I love to slather my face with face mist and skin toners, especially those by the Korean brands. That is why face toners make a huge part of my Korean skin care haul. Toners and mists instantly add hydration to dry skin and prep it for further skin care and subsequent makeup application. Toner should be used right after cleansing and face wash. It is best to apply it before water on the skin dries out completely and give a stretchy feel to skin.
The product comes in a clear, plastic bottle with an orange cap on top. Packaging is a big let-down because, the opening dispenses a lot of product at a time and causes a lot of spillage. I wish it had a smaller opening or a spray nozzle or something to prevent product wastage. It does not have a pump dispenser so the product cannot be directly sprayed on face rather has to be dabbed on with a cotton pad or patted on with palms.

Etude House DIY Moistfull Collagen Facial Toner Name

This product contains water and hydrolyzed collagen as its highest percentage ingredients. Collagen is known to protect skin cells and help in skin rejuvenation. It adds moisture to skin and make it appear firmer. Third ingredient is Baobab fruit extract which is a potent healing and anti-inflammatory ingredient. This product does contain alcohol but mostly it’s main ingredient are potent ingredients with skin benefits. Apart from these ingredients, it contains chemicals such as polymers and heavy oils which, at least to me don’t offer any appeal. It does not contain paraben or artificial coloring but, does contain subtle artificial fragrance.

I have used this product over a month now and it appears to have made my skin firmer. This could also be because of other skin care products that have been using but nevertheless, I enjoy slathering this toner on my face as first thing in the morning.

Pros of Etude House DIY Moistfull Collagen Facial Toner:

  • Affordable face toner and comes in a decent size bottle and is perfect to try before committing to a full size.
  • Packaging is not appealing but is sturdy.
  • Has a very subtle floral fragrance.
  • Has no artificial color.
  • Ingredient list is clearly disclosed in English (not usually done by other Korean brands).
  • Ingredient list is very appealing and is mostly composed of natural ingredients.
  • Does add a little moisture to skin and preps it for further layering of skin care products.

Cons of Etude House DIY Moistfull Collagen Facial Toner:

  • Availability can be an issue for some but some Korean websites do ship to India as well.
  • Packaging does not have a pump dispenser which is disappointing for me.

Do I Recommend Etude House DIY Moistfull Collagen Facial Toner?
This toner has a unique consistency (it is viscous which is rare for toners). It contains goodness of collagen and over a period of few weeks, it appears to make skin firm and more elastic. I invest in Korean skin care a lot and I am glad that most of them are not disappointing.
